I love it! Thanks much for sharing. I miss Trio so much. It was a great channel that stayed true to form until its demise. I have many of these on VHS tape but have not yet transferred them to dvd.
Dear uninformed people.I was a young lad when this program was on national television. Our problems and concerns are very simiiar today.Wars, poverty, jobs, and what is best for our country as well as the rest of the world. The 1960's are forgotten by most people. We cannot forget what is is important.Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness just as our forefathers intended it to be.Dan Rowan and Dick Martin were very aware of the direction our county had taken and sought to inform the American ppl.
OMG...Ruth Buzzi!!!! She's a riot!!! She makes ya laugh so hard. Every skit of hers was a huge surprise of outrageously crazy things. GOSH we need a show like this today!!! I am so glad the episodes are on here. Would rather sit on the couch and watch this comfortably...and my kids see this also. Everyone on the show made it work. Goldie was a great dingy blonde. Laughter is contagious.
Thanks Lin. I haven't seen this since it was on the air! Douglas Fairbanks came from a family of actors. One of the best things he ever did as a young man was, "Gunga Din". A movie. Ruth Busby was my favorite of all these characters! And I forgot Dan smoked on the show. lol
Never missed an episode...........America was glued to their sets every Monday night at 8:00. It actually caused my Boy Scout troop to dissolve because nobody showed up for the Monday night meetings so they could watch Laugh-In!!!
@rurbert I remember the fust show too. I was a teeny weeny tiny older. Until today I never realized how the muppet show followed so closely. Good model those laughers.
My friend Perry Allen passed away not too long ago-Perry was a writer for Laugh In as well as Twilight Zone and a few other CLASSIC TV shows.Laugh In was so good, that it spawned many many other 'skit' comedy shows including of course SNL.Perry was a very funny man who sometimes wrote for a very very funny show.RIP Perry- I still laugh out loud when I watch these CLASSIC videos!
Laugh in was so trend setting and ahead of it's time. If you weren't around when it first hit, it's impossible to explain the impact. But it is one of the all time great shows.

R+M did a US Savings Bond film with superstar Charlton Heston! There is a great new bio (Charlton Heston: An Incredible LIfe: Revised Edition) for sale at amazon! It discusses this film!
Can't believe I was 6 when this show appeared. Does anyone know what year it went off the air because I remember watching Laugh-In every week with my parents. I loved everyone in the cast. It boggles my mind that Goldie Hawn was the only one that hit it big. To me Ruth Buzzi laid the foundation for Gilda Radner. Anyone agree?
I am only 2 mins. or so into the clip and already dying of laughter! Ruth Buzzy and Rock. OMG!!!!!! If I knew how to do those face thingys it would be smiles, smiles, smiles!
That weapons for Christmas sketch cut a little to close since I grew up in the 1980's and HAD plastic weapons for Christmas. Did those damn hippies forget everything Laugh-In prophesied!!!

These two Xmas Laugh-in clips make me remember how much I loved this show. Even now, 40 years later, the comedy is still fresh and pertainent--just change the names of the politicians. Sadly life really wasn't as innocent in the 60's as it seems in these clips. Today we need this kind of entertainment to help us laugh and keep sane.
Mixing anti-war politics with Xmas? No mainstream show would get away with that nowadays. The entire Laugh-in crew would be thrown into Gitmo, tortured for 3 years, then executed for blasphemy.
