@Coolquietguy i went to an apple store and the guy said "we dont do that here" he took my ipod told to sign a paper, GAVE ME A NEW ONE, told me what "terms i was on" with apple, and sent me on my way.... so i got a free new ipod

(i wish they would have just fixed it though, it feels like when my fish died and my mom went out and got one that looked just like it.... it just feels wrong) (and yes im weird,, but thankyou for the help)

Most people don't seem to know is that the surface you touch isn't the actual screen. its just glass or hard plastic. The screen works my electron flow or something, through a little moisture and the finger. thats why a pen wouldn't work.

Although the glass is broken the screen is very likely to be still intact and you should simply get some tools and replace the front part. Not too hard, there are many Videos about that. Also, use your waranty, dude!
