  • This sounds like fun! Haven't seen the movies in a long time, but I remembered liking the soundtrack. Thanks for posting! But on another note... Is it just me, or does the blonde playing french horn on the end look an awful lot like Draco Malfoy? :)

  • John Williams = Albert Einstein of music!

  • I play horn in the brass choir at Mcneese university in Louisiana, and we have been working up this arrangement. The horn parts are for the most part easy to get up to full speed (and like any Williams piece, TONS OF FUN!), but these trumpets make it look and sound WAY easier than it really is. So happy to finally find a movie-speed recording of this, and with Williams conducting!

  • Malfoy is playing french horn, cool

  • that dislike is from me for starting witht he video talkign and not letting me lisent to the whole damn show....

  • There is so much to marvel at here... The music is great, the performances flawless, John williams, and of course, the TV production values. Evening at Pops is so far the most elegant effort I have ever seen applied to a symphony concert coverage. This is one thing the Americans are definitely good at.

  • ....featuring the 11 members of the brass section, not 9 french horns.

    4 french horns

    3 trumpets

    3 trumbones

    1 tuba

  • Rule.

  • Epic!!!! French horns ru

  • This is eargasmic.

  • where can you get the sheet music for this?

  • @coolcooja hi, go to sheetmusicplus (search on google), and check for the harry potter signature editions from john williams , but it's for horn quartet, Not for piano, as it's the pure full orchestra sheet music that Mr Williams play in concert . it's the conductor's score for his live performances.

  • @coolcooja search for "Quidditch (from Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone) on sheetmusicplus ;-)

  • frenchorns in front=boss

  • what program or special is this from? is it a john williams dvd or pbs special? great piece of music!

  • @SgtSiler24 hi, it's from the Boston pops show who was broadcasted on PBS during all the years where williams was the conductor of the boston pops. and sometimes, williams was invited to do a concert . i have MAny others williams concerti with the boston pops, but no time yet to upload them .. time will come :).
