  • Notice how everyone is complaining that there is no girth on the horses saddle... Yea well there is another video after this one ends with the same girl saying "How to attach a girth to a saddle" lol

  • Hahaha i love how everyone is talking about how that pads are messed up... They clearly are not?? God people are so hypocritical. These people are just trying to help. Why do some people feel like they can critique them?

  • @aa14x2 i agree so much, on every single horse video i watch, there are ALWAYS people, mainly girls, who think they actually know it all and leave snotty comments or try to correct the owners 'mistakes'. Im like, just watch the god damn video, it helps certain people out there (including myself) and keep ur techniques to urself and ur horse!! :') x

  • @aa14x2 Cause they feel like there is one way and one way only, and that is their way. Honestly, I don't ride English but I like watching these types of vids just for fun. :) Being around horses can bring out the snobbiest people. ;)

  • My horse! :)

  • @Daltonjohn96 haha IKR!!!! my instucter yelled at me cuz i did that my first lesson :P

  • dtjjhhgg

  • beautiful animal:)

  • the pads were wayyyyyyyyyyy too far forward!

  • its funny! this is (expert village) and people always say never walk under neath a horses neck no madder how trusty they r ! people do it but shes supposed to be an (expert)

  • THERES NO GIRTH, IF U MOUNT THE FREAKING HORSE, HAVE FUN CUZ THE SADDLE WILL SLIP RIGHT OFF!

  • @BriWhoLuvsHorses She shows how to put on a girth in another video

  • @BriWhoLuvsHorses I was thining that

  • Hoped means hipper

  • @corriechick1 Pavlov's theory the saddle is the trigger

  • Can you please tell me why everytime I put on my horses saddle it acts all hoped

  • I do believe there was no girth on there :/

  • You cant really you can always just buy a new one or if you go to a profesional you might be able to get them to help but its the thing that keeps the saddle in place so if its broken then you get it fixed, it wont be as strong and that could be a problem.

  • does anyone know how to fix a broken girth strap!?!?

  • @Kelpiehorsegirl95 You cant really you can always just buy a new one or if you go to a profesional you might be able to get them to help but its the thing that keeps the saddle in place so if its broken then you get it fixed, it wont be as strong and that could be a problem.

  • all u people on youtube who have horses and ride them english, could u give me some help+tips on jumping/riding and tacking up?? i have been riding western for 3 years and i just started english so i REALLY need help in tacking up. last time i rode, my english saddle was toooooooo far foward! help!! :)

  • @palomino674 i will help you in any way you need !!! message me and let me know!!!

  • Lol poor expertvilage; always getting bashed on.. All they're trying to do is help :)

  • Just my two cents. Everyone has their own opinion. Not a bad video. For those who are mean with their comments....if you don't like how people do things in their video why don't you post your own video showing how to do it? It is YouTube, it is the internet. Don't take it so seriously.

  • Actually you can do both with walking behind a horse. It depends on the person you are learning from and depends on the horse you are working with. You can walk far behind a horse or you can walk close. Several people I know recommend 6 feet or further so if they kick they aren't hitting you. If you are closer than that then you should cross right behind the horse with your hand on their rump so they know that you are there and are less likely to spook. If they do kick it won't do as much damage

  • the saddle pad is too low.....and the "back pad" is too high.........and the saddle is wwwwaaaayyyyyy to low................

  • aokamins11's videos are MUCH more thorough and specific and easier to understand than these expert village videos. And she knows what shes talking about, it doesnt sound like she had to memorize andything... :D

  • u always leave out a lot of things in ur videos

  • You shouldn't really just plonk the saddle on his back. Put the numnah on his withers and also the saddle. Slide the Saddle and numnah down his back to where it fits. Voila!!

  • how tall is your horse?

  • woah u hav 138,810 videos!!!! woah that is alot LOL

    boneeeiee horse cute :~D

  • im so glad that my barn is heated no more cold winter days in the barn

  • You should really put the saddle on the withers and slide it into place instead of just placing it on the horses back, because the hair could be out of place and if you sit on it back while the hairs gone odd, then its gonna bend the hairs or realease the natural warmth under the fur.

  • You have to rude your horse like people horses need exercis

  • @buffguy0

U shouldn't actually walk under a horses neck unless u are certain that they are trained well enough

U shouldn't walk far away from their behind either, if u stand close to the horse, if it dies kick it won't have as much force

U should also run your hand along their back to let them know you're there so you won't accidently frighten them and make them kick

  • @biddy96 well it prolly her horse so she prolly knows him an he knew she was there, but good knowing...idk

  • should you be riding a horse in such cold weather???

  • @horses3111 it doesnt really matter when u ride them in the rain in the snow in the heat

  • @horses3111 well you propaly do if it's your horse

  • brrrrrr!

  • the bounce pad is too far up...

  • lol where i am in england the numnah/saddlecloth/pad whatever is kept attached to the saddle, as is the girth! X

  • shes doing it all herself. thats not even showing us to do anything

  • She shows how to put on the martingale and the girth on in another video.

  • you for got his marten gale or does he not need it cause i ride

  • iButterscotch it is the safest way to walk around your horse in close quarters! There is no point in walking far away from your horse just to get around it!!! The vid was practicaly pefect even mentioned about pulling the saddle cloth into the gullet so it doesnt sore your horse!!!!

    Cute horse XD

  • adorablee horse!! <3

  • Hay! You fogot the Girth

    Hee Heee

  • She Does The Girth In Another Videon :P x.

  • why? i do all the time because i trust the horse. and my dad says that its safer than going around the butt.

  • I do it all the time. I would never do it with a horse I don't trust, but it's not a big deal if the horse is on cross ties and he always knows where you are so you don't startle him. It's not that much different than walking behind them because you're in a blind spot either way. Don't get me wrong, I will never approve of crawling under a horse's belly or sitting between his front legs or any of that nonsense.

  • Thats anot a saddle its a fucking wannabe jockey saddle and why walk far away from behind a horse all he has to do is back up and kick your too tense i can tell right now your just way to tense RELAX!

  • Its a hunter/jumper saddle. :P

  • It's a hunter/jumper saddle. Of course she might be a little nervous, she's posting a video that people like you might post rude comments on! She's not nervous around horses.

  • you must not know what youre saying you also must not ride. The first thing you learn is that you can walk under a horses neck!!!! Get your facts straight before acting like you know everything!

  • Agree :) x.

  • @Jess12787 i ride and i walk under my horse all the time. it all has to do with how well your horse is trained. that is what i think

  • @6531420 ?????????

  • I like the horse, very quiet. :)

And when i had my horse i used to walk under him ALL the time....as long as you both trust each other,

It just depends on the horse really.

  • i can do it betta

  • NEVER WALK UNDER YOUR HORSE!!!!!!THAT IS A GOOD WAY TO GET KICKED OR TRAMPLED!!!!Even the sweetest and most trusted horse can spook. If he lunges forward u will get run over.

  • practice is all i have to say! i've been riding for 5 years, and the best thing you can do is practice!

  • just make sure you put the weight in your heels. dont grip with your knees. and when your riding, dont grip with your knees. use your calfs

  • once you start riding more, the muscles in your legs will get stronger and you will get better at balancing. it just takes time.

  • NEVER WALK UNDER A HORSE!! NEVER!

  • i walk under my horse ALL the time.

it depends on whether or not your horse trusts you enough to walk under him

  • well it's better than walking behind it and that horse was tethered anyway

  • If thats a strange horse to you and he dosnt know you well then no shit!

But i alwasy do that cause if the horse trusts the owner and the owner trusts the horse then thats diffrent.

  • its scary how she never stops staring at the cam.

  • NEVER walk under a horse. Good video though!

  • Comment removed

  • I agree

  • they should put splint boots on, he could rub his legs

  • u should try to video tape the videos a little closer to the horse. we cant fully see the saddle on the side.

  • ive never tie my horse up in the stable doing anything ,never needed to in 4 yrs ! and there is 50 horses in our riding centre that do the same ,

  • It is an Antares saddle

  • It looks like a BDH

  • when u do this, be sure that the horse knows where u are at all times. i made the mastake of not leting him know my location, and he got spooked and reired up. thank god he was tied, because he reired up over me, and because of the tie, he couldn't fully reir up. that gave my an opertunity to push him away whail avoiding the hoovs, and run out from under him. DON'T MAKE THE MASTAKE I DID. IT COULD KILL YOU!

  • rear :]]

  • THEY SHOULD OF STRAPPED ITS LEGS !! safety first lol

  • DUDE

i think thats the saddle i am getting!

i think it is a BDH! HAHAHA OMG

  • Tying them doesn't prevent ANYTHING period.

It might make you feel safer, but are you really.

I think you should have a lead rope for sure, but I don't think you are safe just cause you tie them up. If they get claustrophobic they have no where to go.

If you have a 12 footlead rope draped across your arm then you can let them drift to gain their confidence if they need to.

    jer ebar

  • That's why you should use a quick release knot. If they spook, you pull the end of the lead rope and they're free.

  • BTW, I have nothing against ground tying for horses that are trained to tie that way.

  • @c140075 yessss! =]

  • @c140075 they didnt even spook

  • @c140075 uuh theres also such thing as emergency cross ties dur du dur... that r like better than quick release nots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

  • You should always tie your horse when tacking up, doing serious grooming, etc. It prevents nasty accidents.

  • @satouame i dont even have to have a rope on my pony's halter when shes out in the open to tack her up cuz i kno her an she knows her boundaries it all really depends on the horse

  • This was very helpful... and definately

better then the green vest. She was hard to

look at therefore i couldn't finish the videos.

  • gosh ur a whooooooooole lot better than the other one you dont sond depress

  • Is tacking up in Western similar to tacking up in English?

  • no its different

  • i love this person more than the other one

  • You are lovely!

I watched almost all of your videos they are very helpful!

  • i like her a lot better than the one in the green vest.

  • ur better than the other one ur more conferable around ur horse she seems more timmid the other one

  • Your wy better than the other one with the green vest

  • I Like you BETTER!!!

  • i like you better than the other chick. and like how you said gently. i agree with sugarthief

  • I love these vids and I like it when she says gently because I see ppl like just smack the saddle down.

  • you're an amazing relief from the last retard who called herself an expert rider.

  • ya I like her a lot better than the last one.
