I find it strange that it gets projected when only 30-40% have been counted. Wouldn't it be easy to just pick and choose the lots that show the results you want and then officially count those first? Report the total from those results and then let the media do the rest and declare the victor saying that exit polls from the non-reported areas show the same trend so "we're going to call it over now". I find it strange that it gets projected when only 30-40% have been counted. Wouldn't it be easy to just pick and choose the lots that show the results you want and then officially count those first? Report the total from those results and then let the media do the rest and declare the victor saying that exit polls from the non-reported areas show the same trend so "we're going to call it over now". Anyone?

@nekopheliac I always thought that was peculiar as well, just figured I might not understand the nuances involved. Then I thought, it's fucking counting, I learned it when I was 4, not rocket science. You can't reasonably think that you can just call someone the victor when 70 percent of the vote hadn't been counted yet, especially when the counties are so diverse in their political make-up. Yeah, weird indeed.

Example: I know of a father & Son who are drug addicts and get SSI, apartment in a nice building with elevator, electric paid for and food at taxpayers’ expense. His most important contribution will be that he will not attack Iran (preventing a disaster which would dwarf the Iraq war and could lead to WW3). He will pull back troops from many countries and veto any bills that restrict civil liberties (like SOPA), bail out big business or spend money in other irresponsible ways. He would also use the bully pulpit to win over the public to his ideas so that they would vote in candidates for Congress who support him.
