have birds but i dont know what they are but all the birds i have ever had i can easilly hold and pet them and stuff for some reason taming birds is really easy?
I have a male red factor canary i purchased a female canary. I have had them in separate cages next to each other for over a month. when i put them in same cage they fight the female always wins she almost took out his eye yesterday he is missing feathers under his eye i have separated them since any advice please?
My canary just had a sing too and came out of the cage looking for this bird :) i have two canarys, resently lost the third a few weeks ago. Lol my canary keeps calling now behind me as i write this... going to get them two more friends soon, one of my birds is a sort of orange and the other yellow the third was also orange.. thanks for posting this video...
In nature only male Canaries ( serinus canaria ) sing . There are some odd cases of female individuals from the song types which hav been known to " SING " but those are few & far between . Some years ago , an experiment showed that a female canary which recieved homone injections would sing like a male but would revert to silence as soon as the shots were stopped .
Did you see it sing wherever you got it from? Sometimes they take a while to calm down & be comfortable enough to sing. If you didn't actually see it sing, then that can be a problem.
I'm saying that they should be let out of their cages frequently. I never said anything about being released into the wild. Would you like to stay in a dull cage for you're entire live? No, I don't think so.
Actually, before you comment, you should do your homework.
Because of the temperment of these birds, they don't prefer to be let out. Their cage is their home. Some do come out of their cages, and that's great.
hey guyz make sure to come and watch my video of my canary shaking my hand :D (trick )

So if these birds, bred in captivity were let out in the wild once of age, you think they'd have a chance?
greyghost84 2 years ago
Obviously not.
