  • Its beautiful

  • It actually IS the best version but its a bit fast . i dont know why would they be in such a hurry :(

  • Academy of St. Martin's?

  • 13 ago i bought a CD called Best Classical Music Ever!! lost it and have not bn able find the Pachelbel Canon D version on it ever since.. I'm pretty much sure this Canon version is THE ONE on the CD.. and yes.. it's my favourite version!! The Best Version i think ..

  • oh jaaaa, beste version! =)

  • Does anyone know anymore classical songs like this?

  • This is my ringtone =P and I'm 20 years old.

  • People call me strange and weird for listening to this music. I don't care. I'm the one who's happy!

  • Why is it everytime I hear this I think of my beautiful future bride walking down the aisle....

  • I agree, the best version :) so beautiful!

  • I feel like classical music is the only kind I can concentrate on my Physics and Chemistry homework with

  • @catagon12345 i know what you mean yeah. i find listening to a bit of jah wobble is very good too

  • @catagon12345 HAHA ! same .

  • this is a very very beautiful version but personally i prefer piano (the one by jonhing)

  • Absolutely beautiful......no other words could do this justice.

  • This song makes me so happy! :)

  • In my opinion, this is the most beautiful and awe-inspiring song ever written. (And that comes from a teenage boy)

  • 0:01 Pachabel

  • Wow that's beautiful.

  • Man, this is so beautiful! I absolutely love it! I can't believe someone actually wrote this! It almost makes me cry. I found out my parents got married to this! So romantic! :)

  • This is certainly a very nice version, though there are some others I prefer. In the end, subjectivity must come into play and when it comes to music, I think it's a waste of time and emotional energy to argue over what or who is the "best." And as far as this piece goes, I'm going to agree with WNYC's Steve Post who once said "what can we do with yet another recording of the Pachelbel Canon, besides drop it from the top of the Municipal Building?'

  • There is a classical music cd boxset " the best classical music ever", this piece in this version is on disk 1 in DDD quality. Try listening to this in HiFi quality...

  • 17 dislikes wtf

  • Beautiful

  • Magnificent and emotionally moving perfection!

  • Greatest Music ever composed by a human!

  • Totally!

  • When I litsen to this, I allways see my self playing it, and I smile:)

  • @onlymassiss Me too!

  • This is a beautiful piece of music. Try using a proper stereo system and not a crappy PC to listen to it. There are better photos of this wonderful planet we live on as well.

  • Simply Superb.

  • Musical Perfection

  • ive heard many! many, of these versions who say they are so beautiful, when really theyre not, but this is the best ive seen in a long time, for the one that i lost, he used to play it perfectly, but this is the closest ive ever been to. Thank you for your time and effort to play this video, it truly means alot.

  • This specific rendition has been a part of my life for almost 15 years now.

  • Wow, I love this. It's beautiful

  • Soothing sounds...thank you for posting music with lovely video, a very pleasant experience! :)

  • This should be the first thing we show extra terrestrial life... Absolutely, stunningly beautiful.

  • La musique est belle , relaxante et les photos qui l'accompagnent sont sublimes :)

  • This version, by far, has to be my favorite... although, I do love those Transiberian guys rocking out to this very classical piece of music.

This version is so soft and soothing, I could make a loop of it, and listen over and over again. And you are so right, the best, is at 1:56. Thank you so very, very much for posting!!!

  • THE most brilliant piece of baroque music ever composed...too bad a few people know who the composer is :(

  • It was splendid.

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmm. so relacsine.

  • Simple but Great!

  • "the ultimate best version", not even close. There's no better version than hearing Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps playing this live.

  • @kevinbs05 is that right!? figures speaks for itself....

  • @SPExJR Figures? If you haven't heard them play this, I would strongly watch it, it's awesome.

  • @kevinbs05 I completely disagree. Its a nice piece but lacks all feeling and depth.

  • Why are you all getting so irate about what poeple are using this piece for???

I agree it's not a version it is a perfomance whenever played this well, but give people every chance to hear it in what ever form and situation......at a wedding it would be beautiful.....but yeah a long isle would be required for the full perfomance.

Surely no MUSICIAN would ever bore of playing this...!

  • @greenking0001 good man greenking - its that good of song who cares if its goes on for 5 minutes, it earn its stripes .left alone, and extra minute and a half is surely a secure wedding piece, thanks

  • @greenking0001 Unless ur playing the cello part.

  • @greenking0001 just throwing it out there..... I walked down the aisle to this song at my wedding (nearly 5 yrs ago to the day) AND the whole song was played. It started shortly before it was announced for everyone to stand for my entrance. Its pretty much played or performed at every wedding these days. It's always been a beautiful piece regardless of its application.

  • 'the The organists are getting very tired of it'

the organists can all suck on my pan flute.

  • I think you mean performance, not version? This is a typical classical performance, rendition of the piece. It is very nicely done.

It is a lovely piece but PLEASE DON"T select this for your wedding processional. The organists are getting very tired of it and you will only hear a brief section of it. There is no aisle long enough.

  • @emusici no i meant version, most people use cd's , let them use it if they want its their special day

  • @emusici You are telling people not to choose this song for their wedding... because the musicians are getting tired of playing it? Maybe the couple want only a brief section played. Who are you to dictate otherwise? If the musicians want to dictate what a couple want on their special day, they shouldn't be musicians, they should be wedding planners.

  • @emusici If I ever marry, then I already have another piece in mind. Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral, by Wagner. If you've never heard it, check this link, and then I challenge you to tell me that it's not beautiful. /watch?v=wu3x_F06JlQ

  • first violin is the best

  • the secret genius accelerator....except no subliminal voices in the background

  • I'd hate to be a cello player in all of this

  • Hi, I've noticed you've sent this to people to use for wedding music, could you send it to me pleeaase??! :)

  • @jtunsley89 Google "youtube to mp3". You can easily convert any Youtube video into an MP3 file that way, and yes, it's legal, so long as the content of the video isn't copyrighted.

  • Brilliant....

  • This piece of music is one of those you wish never had an ending to it. It's absolutely beautiful.

  • Great visual accompaniment !

  • "the ultimate best version" had a lot to live up to, im not a great music expert but this did live up to the name.

  • Thank god. Not too fast. All the calssicals play everything too fast, and bereft of emotion. They could all use a good lesson from Satie, or Stars of the Lid, or Brian Eno......etc.....this one is good though.

  • this truly is the best :D

  • I like 1:51

  • FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS THE SONG DOWNLOAD

Instead of bugging the user, you can use Keepvid.com. It is a youtube file extracter and this way you can get the audio without needing to bug the user. Do not get this reported as spam, as i am not trying to advertise, but rather help out the user that decided to post one of my favorite classical pieces.

  • normally i listen to hip hop and that part of music, but this... It is just beautiful. I love it and I am 13 years old! Everytime it makes me cry. And i don't care what the people now say about me.

  • @luminicrackerluv congratulations, you have learned to think for yourself.......with Pacahbel's help ;)

  • @luminicrackerluv I agree with you each time I hear this song I feel the same reaction, probably one of my favorite songs.

  • @luminicrackerluv You're crying for crappy music? Gaywad, get manlier!

Haha, jk. This is awesome that you're saying this. I love this song, and I've played it for a long time on my iPod. It's cool that you can express yourself like this. A beautiful piece of work like this shouldn't get any dislikes, now should it :/

  • @luminicrackerluv =) Nice to see people like u !

  • @luminicrackerluv Everything sounds beautiful compared to hip hop, no matter what the age of the listener is.

  • such a moving piece of music i can see why my sister is going mad for me to find the download for her wedding,,,,hope i manage to find it for her...anyone who can help please email me at corri3414@hotmail.co.uk.....it will be much appreciated x

  • Sooo amazing!!!!

  • I wish I knew how to conduct... I really want to conduct this song with some of the most talented musicians in the world in front of a huge audience. This is easily my favorite classical piece. I could listen to it forever.

  • I listened to this 5 times. Absolutely beautiful. Makes me want to get married again! NOT!!!

  • I wish I could have an infinite loop of this feelings in my life that could make me see what he saw when he composed this, this is raw life.

  • I had the pleasure of walking my beautiful daughter down the aisle to a live version of this opus in Clonard Parish Church Wexford. A memory which will exist every time I hear it.

  • You are right! This is the best version I heard!! This is beautiful!! Makes me want to use it in my wedding! Thank you!

  • Well in the face of being the odd one out: I have no intention to marry anytime soon, but I surely love this piece of music and this version in particular. Thanks for uploading :)

  • @kroschfoenigin give me an email to send it on to

  • Wow, this is really good. Would you please send this to me as well? I have been looking for the perfect version and I think I have found it? ! Is there an MP3 version of this?

  • You are so right, this is the most incredible version, thank you so much for sharing it.

  • Comment removed

  • Could u please send me this version too! Would love it for my wedding

  • Hi @SPExJR,

I've sent you my email address in a message. Thanks!

  • This is really a GREATversion... love to download it for my wedding. Can anyone help? PLEASE....

  • @TheAlohalina give me an email address

  • @TheAlohalina Don't do it. D: It's the most overplayed song at weddings! There are a hundred other beautiful pieces of classical music that would sound lovely in a wedding.

  • @TheAlohalina

You need to download a program called : Atube Catcher

and you'll be able to download and conver this video to any verson you like. cheers

  • I dunno, (best version) was pretty good, and the intro for the violin was a bit too subdued in this one. Once it gets into motion though, this one is very good.

I say wait for (cosmic unity-bringer version) before committing, however.

  • I can't wait to play this song at my wedding. I love it!

  • Thanks for sharing it! Love it! May I have it as well? Thanks a lot!

  • @woodnoop send me an email address

  • @SPExJR I also want it too! Thanks!

  • @SPExJR

Can you Give me a link to this please! :D

    Ill send you my email.

  • Well I have to say the best version I have ever heard was a version for handbell choir, strings and vocal choir. Gooosebumps.

  • Hey @SPExJR

Can you please provide me the link to download this version? Or let me know which version of Canon this is? I tried to browse all the comments, but couldn't find an answer about which version this is.

Just getting the download link is fine too :-)

Thanks for uploading such a beautiful video!

  • middle part is fast

  • I am sure this is the Academy of St Martin in the Fields version, certainly one of best ever recorded, I have this recording, not listened to it for ages, my favourite part is 1:56 with that lower string note that comes out to glorious lush effect, this performance is a more lush version and perhaps more romantic, less traditional baroque sounding, more classical style with a thick orchestral dense sound, a very clever version.

  • @UKpiano That's great but I fucking hate the word "lush" : I.

  • It really seems to be (one of) the very best.

  • hi, i love this version, can you send it to me please :") i'll message you my email address

  • I would def like a copy! I really enjoy this version!

  • Best version! I've been looking for this one all over! Finally I found it and love it. Thx for uploading!

  • if your wanting this song sent to you please give me 9 days, im away on holiday and dont have the means of attaching it, thanks :)

  • this one is a little fast but the instruments are great

  • @SPExJR Regarding the intro frame, it is actually 'Canon in D MAJOR' not MINOR ;)

  • @MrJoshuaUSA yeah im fully aware of that, i was drunk when i made the video :)

  • 10 mierdas no saben lo que es música.

  • Lo mejor que hay!

  • I won't regret this 5 minutes of my life

  • This is the best five minute version ever! I heard it originally in an 8 minute time span in which it was smooth throughout. I suppose it takes more skill to play the longer version, so I listen rather that play. This shorter version is a bit bouncy for me in spots. If you like the bounce, you will truly love this version

  • Am I the only one that thinks this song is incredibly suspenseful? Every time you think the main part is about to start, the song is just like, "Nope." Then, you get that unsatisfied feel. But when the main part finally plays, it's the best feeling ever.

    Regardless, it's an awesome song.

  • Unbeliveble beautiful!! gives shiver

  • Это круто.

  • Yes, thank you! There is one version of Pachelbel's Canon that has stuck with me throughout my life and it's this version. I could tell it was the right one within the first second.

  • If I was caught listening to this...

  • Hmm...at 2:34 there is a segment of the song edited out. About 8 measures. I wonder why any conductor would edit 8 measures out of the Canon.

  • This is the version from Carl Sagan's Cosmos series!!

  • This a great version and I love it, but my favorite is one by Hari Singh Khalsa and Gary Sill, that one has the ocean's crashing waves and sea gulls in the background...that played at my niece's wedding this past April 2011 at Naval Base in San Diego....simply awesome since my niece asked specifically asked for Pachelbel!

  • @SoundDeva5 ---I've come across another version of waves in the background that is nice too. By George Amatino. It's lovely!

  • I broke my spine years ago and am now a paraplegic, but, whilst in hospital I heard this music and, for some unexplained reason, it lifted my very soul out of the depresion I was in....Surely music of this quality and stature proves that the God you may beieve in is showing you have soul who-ever you maybe, from whatever background your from and that above all else it lifts you to a place where your troubles, heavy and hard as they maybe, will be lifted and your very soul set free. Beautiful !!

  • @cbhull ..dominus vobiscum!

  • I discovered this piece of music (not this version of course) on a mixed classical CD many years ago. I loved it so much, and used to play it to soothe my son off to sleep when he couldn't relax. Then I started hearing it played at weddings. I still love it.

  • I would say 101 strings...im fact I'm pretty sure

  • i find this version way to slow.

  • Who did this version?

  • Very beautiful

  • awesome

  • It's so amazing song

  • SPExJR I would love to get this getting married sept 9th e-mail address

    missile961955@yahoo.com thanks Michael

  • Wow, this version is the best!!, can you give me the link?

  • A canon is a type of song in which the melody repeats itself, and with each repetition the song grows more and more beautiful and vibrant as the new chords harmonize with each other. Wouldn't it be great if the progression of life were like the progression of this song? Nothing would change, but everything would just get richer, fuller.

  • @NeroZero2009 but wouldn't life be boring without change?

  • @01misheel Nothing would change, but everything would just get richer, fuller.

  • @NeroZero2009 imagine the sun rising and never setting down and the sun light gets stronger and stronger until it burns you alive

  • @01misheel ^__^; I think you're taking it too literal..

  • this piece is good gives me goosebumps an invokes something deeply spiritual in me.

  • Hi, indeed this is the best one... im getting married in 10 days, could you tell me where can i find this version... again thanks!!!

  • @ricknica you can get it from me if you like

  • @ricknica you can also use Freemake, you can download and convert any video/audio from youtube :D (freemake (dot) com) i think, it works like a charm :> and yeah this version is epic!

  • @ricknica Hi ricknica, cannot tell you where to get this, but noticed you are getting married soon - my wife walked down the aisle to this and it was absolutely magical - you will be in for a wonderful day. :o)

  • @ricknica gratz

  • ***** :D

  • I love this and always will, it was my introduction to classical music

thank you Sister Mary Ursula RIP you and your kindness will always be remembered

  • love the music but i cant help but wonder why people use some of the remote places in the world to display during OLD music (i say old cause i dont give a shit about the era) but it syncs perfectly with the music.

  • I know you loved & respected me, I was never afraid to stand up to you when others were.I had a great amount of respect for you .Many a time we would listen to this piece of music usually at my request .I'll miss you, but I know you are now at peace. God Bless you , Maureen x

  • De lo más Sublime!

I love the sound of violins, a touch of sound manipulation, which rejoices in the Spirit!

  • I too Prefer this version reminds me of charmed :) the actual version to it :) Great Song

  • I swear the pictures of the ocean look like they move to greatness of this song! I have a version of this song I use when I work weddings but this is probably the best I've heard, well besides the Rock version (:

  • What orchestra is this? I want it!

  • Hi please please please can you send me this version, I know lots have people have asked! bex_seal@yahoo.co.uk thank you!!!!!!xx

  • this is just the original version the way it was made by pachelbel its actually 1 piece but 3 violinists play at different times go Google it

  • AWESOME as always, lifts my spirit, fills my heart, warms my soul

  • thumbs up if you found this song by watching the robot boys(remote control)

  • Pachelbel and his music is genius and a trully work of art..only one song has touched the heart of millions over the past 358 years...damn thats a very long time :))

  • Pachelbel: kicking arse since 1653.

  • Hi, I agree this is a great version. Can you tell me where i can get this version of the song. many thanks :)

  • @t1nam1stry you can message me your email address so i can attach it in that? i will be away for the weekend though
