@mcnukem Coming from an outsider, I'd say that in terms of "gastronomical innovation", this is correct. Wendy's is a fast food hamburger, which is something all areas of the country have. However, Skyline is uniquely Ohio. I'm sure if I looked hard enough, I could find something like it between Washington-Oregon-California-N­evada, but then again, it wouldn't surprise me if I couldn't.

Mayfield Road is the most "soul-killing stretch of Cleveland" that guy can imagine? That plaza with Skyline has a huge music (instrument) store and a nice art supply place. Come on, now.

WHY didnt they go to Little Italy??? Skyline isn't Cleveland! That portion was stupid! Also.... why did they come to Cleveland in January when its so COLD as HELL??? He should have came in late Summer/Fall.

Confused why they are featuring Skyline on this episode. Bad research by their production team. Skyline is a Cincinnati tradition.

@bmhns02 it was more or less meant to be a swipe at Rhulman since he absolutely abhors Skyline Chili. Bourdains notorious for deriving pleasure from the misery of others... especially Rhulman.

@KingFootballMan1111 Cincinnati style chili is very popular here in NJ also. But we mainly like it on hot dogs with mustard and chopped onions. Its known as a TEXAS WEINER. Since Tony is from Jersey and a big hot dog fan, Im not surprised that he loves Skyline Chli served 4 ways.

@KingFootballMan1111 I think you are talking about Newark style Italian hot dogs from JIMMY BUFFS. Were the hot dogs deep-fried with peppers, onions and potatoes then served in "pizza bread" roll??? They're pretty good especially when you get a combo with Italian sausage.
