SOOO For all you curious YYH fans out there, FUNimation ADR director Justin Cook (voice of Yusuke) has announced that "The Golden Seal" movie has been re-dubbed by the FUNi cast, and will be released on Blue-Ray, along will all of the Eizou Hakusho OVA's :D Look for it December 13th!
The first one is hina and the second is yukina and finally that has to be murkuro. These are the three women who are the most important to him. This is mukuro if she didn't burn herself with acid, because she poured acid upon herself when she was around seven or so. Hina, is his mother that he always wanted to meet. Yukina, his long-lost sister that he loves and takes care of and yet he never reveals himself to her. Mukuro is the women who (like him) suffered. Also he is the nicest to them.
I think that the first one was Hina...then the one flying towards him was Yukina...then the one with the orange hair flying away from him was Mokuro. They're the three most important women in Hiei's life :)
I think the first one if hieis mothers, if not yukina, because she look too different from yukina (even though all the characters look different than they normally do) and the second is mukuro for sure. because hiei doesnt know what "love" is because the most important love we get is from our own parents. hiei had know and all the poeple he met hated/ tried to kill him. sounds cheasy but its true. so its kinda showing how he cant be with neither
Girl doesn't look like any onscreen girls I know of. First real good look, she has hair like Yukina (and Hina), but her eyes remind me of Botan (especially from the movie). Strawberry blond briefly reminded me of Mukuro but the eyes were different colors.
Meh. Perhaps it's a way of saying he rescues girls but can't keep them close to him. And the girl was made to remind us of all the females in Hiei's life that we know of.
i dun think it's yukina. Firstly, that girl's hair is too long. And yukina always ties her hair. And well, yukina is seen in eizou hakusho episode 6. But this girl just grew wings and flew away.
@ShionSonozaki1998 The girl is Mukuro. If you pay close attention to the episode where she reveals to Hieie that she is a woman, there is a flashback that shows that this is what she looked like before she burned herself.

When she was a kid she was made into a slave and the guy who owned her would rape her, so she poured acid on herself so that she wouldn't be attractive and he wouldn't rape her anymore. That's why one side of her face is all messed up. I'm pretty sure they explain it in the anime at some point.
I honestly believe the first girl is Yukina. She looks just like her and is about the same height as Hiei (which Yukina is). She also looks too young to be a mom. I would think Hiei's mom would look a little older, like Mukuro.

If anyone wants to argue about eye color, Mukuro is shown here with red/orange eyes. But in the Anime, she has BLUE eyes (not sure about the Manga).
As for Mukuro, I really believe that is her also. From what I have seen, Ice Apparitions have BLUE hair. Also, Hiei's mom has thick bangs like Yukina and the second girl does not.

First girl is Yukina, she's the only girl in YYH to have bangs and forelocks like that, and the red eyes is obvious... Besides the first girl has a petite frame like her, while the second woman is taller...
Second girl would be Mukuro, did anyone try to combine the good half of her face with the bad half...? Because she would look like that, and Mukuro and Hiei have lots of things going on in the manga...
Same thing with Kuwabara's video. Hiei's is all about the girls in his life, and Kuwabara's is all about himself. Yusuke and Kurama have just about everyone in their videos. Not sure why that is, but it bothers me too.
@DarkDestiny666 I think it's because Kuwabara gets left behind. I mean, the other 3 are demons and such, I'm not sure if Yuusuke will age anytime soon, but Kuwabara does - and they really fall out. To be honest, Kuwabara's opening scared me.
something i noticed when watching this, has anyone else noticed how the style that togashi drew in and the style that yu yu hakusho was animated in are almost 2 completely different styles(most animes stick with the manga style), just pointing out XD
Let's point out the obvious, Yukina has red eyes & aqua hair. I think the video is about Hina & Mukuro. I know it's weird that they show her naked infront of her sons' eyes, but I think that has to do with Japanese culture on bathing for example. The mom or dad usually take bathes with their kid up to age 7 in most cases. I think both Mukuro & Hina are Hieis' loved ones who are imprisoned and he frees them :) Yukina also, but she was freed by Kuwabara & Yusuke.
Man.......I hate looking at Yu Yu Hakusho/Eizou Hakusho because i wish YuYuHakusho could make new episodes!!! Even if they were made in the 90's, If Yoshihiro Togashi re-drew the Yu Yu Hakusho series YuYuHakusho would be playin on Nickelodeon or AdultSwim/Cartoonnetwork???
Now that I watch it again I think I understand who the girl is supposed to be. I think it's supposed to be Hiei's mom, because she was metaphorically 'imprisoned' by her peers and unable to stop them from sacrificing her son. And then in the video when Hiei releases her, she escapes him, flying off in the distance as an angel. This could be a metaphor for the fact that when Hiei finally returned to the ice village, his mom had killed herself, so he never got to be with her.

After Hiei misses her arm, he's probably looking at his hiruiseki. It was given to him by Yukina, but was originally his mother's.
I think the girls are Yukina and Mukuro... it wouldn't make sense to me if the first one was Hina, why would Hiei want to reach for her and not his sister? in all this openings they show the character's most important people in they're lives, why would they show Hina and not Yukina in Hiei's??
I don't believe it is Yukina and it is most like Biura or Hina (as referred in english) There are many signs that it's her and not Yukina. First, Yukina has crimson eyes like Hiei's, but this girls eyes are purplish. Second, Yukina does not have the "M" arch on her hair like this girl goes. Third, I believe the binding around the woman represents the taboo she had committed and how she was isolated from everyone.
I agree with Kikia411 except for the mannerisms part considering we only saw Hina crying out for Hiei to be returned to her therefore we do not know her mannerisms. But I do agree with both her(or him, forgive me) and Kitsoru. Mukoro is too scarred to be this women and doesn't have blue hair nor ice powers. As for why I think it's one of those two I cannot say. I don't know. XD
Considering Mukuro has nothing to do with ice, I'd say it's fairly obvious it's either Hina or Yukina. The art style is pretty different so I can't judge based on 'apparent age' but considering she leaves at the end it may be more likely to be Hina. The orange in the end is obviously the dusk light changing the colors and Mukuro is permanently scarred, where as this girl doesn't have a scratch on her, so it's def. not her.
this is what i got from it. After going threw all the hard work of getting a jagan to find his mother and home land and free her from her icey prison, he found out she had died, thus fore the angel wing thingers. Ah idk just what i thought
I'd say it's a toss up I'm inclined to think it's Hina for a few reasons.
1) If you look at it from a symbolic view, Hiei had to go through all the pain of his Jagan eye and what not to recover Hina's precious gift and to find her.
2) It looks a little too old to be Yukina, and her mannerisms are more like Hina's.
3) Though Hiei never tells Yukina that they're siblings, they're always together. He had to accept his mother's death, which could explain the image of her flying away.
Well, it is said that the koorime grow up to look exactly like their mothers, so maybe Yukina is making that transformation now. I don't know about you, but I think Hiei's face is the same shape as Yukina's now - quite long and thin ^_^

i think this girl is supposed to resemble both yukina and mukuro. hiei saves yukina from tarukane and hiei breaks the shackles that mukuro had on her wrists in the tournament since she felt that she wasn't complety set free.
It can't be Mukuro, she has brown hair. Though that does leave the question as to who that blonde angel is a mystery. But I think that the blue haired girl is indeed Yukina. Hiei has red eyes yet in some clips of him his eyes appear to be brown, so this could be the case with Yukina.
When I first saw the blonde's face, I was like "FTW that Mukuro is hella cute", so... yeah. I think it IS Mukuro. And the blue-haired one is definitely Yukina.
It's definitely not Mukuro. She has auburn hair, not blonde. Even when she was a sex slave when she was younger, she still had auburn hair, so it can't be her.
Hm, if only we knew what color hina's eyes were, that might help. because yukina has crimson eyes, showing thats not yukina. I heard in the manga hiei and mukuro are pretty much a couple. since i watched the anime im not sure if this is true or not.
It's implied that they have a strong relationship, though I don't think it's love. More like a mutual companionship due to similar pasts and ways of life, but that's my spin on it. I think too much into the psychological aspect of things =D

The most likely that person could be is possibly Hina, in the fact that she's an angel. Angels are usually messangers of god, which would be that she is good hearted, yet among the dead. If anything else, that tells us why that's not Mukuro or Yukina. Although I am curious as to know why they put such a metaphor for his past(refering to the fact that, regardless of how much she loves him, she will never be with her son) and why her hair color changed at the last second.

That happened in the anime? Strange ... in the manga, Hina died immediately after giving birth to Hiei. I've haven't seen the anime adaption yet, so I don't know what Hina looks like, but it is said that the daughter of a ice maiden would look EXACTLY like their mother.
(Trivia Fact: this would mean that Yukina would be older that Hiei by a few minutes ... didn't realise until now)

It's in Chapter 159. You're right; Hiei and Mukuro do deserve better, but then again ... if they never had those experiences they might never have met each other and their situation might have ended up worse in the end. *sigh* Life sucks ... I think its just a random girl that Hiei thought up. Its obvi not Mukuro, its an ice maiden. I doubt he would want to see his sister or his mother naked so its not either of them. Maybe he's attracted more to koorime than anyone else, that is his heiritage after all.
I'm still firm in my 'Mukuro is reborn because of Hiei' theory. I don't know how people think that it doesn't look like Mukuro; is it the fact that she has longer hair and that there's no metal limbs?
Think of it this way; this is what she would have looked like if she didn't have such a bad past.

I truly do NOT believe Mukuro is in this at all. For one, it looks more like Yukina and Hina the entire way through, never once like Mukuro. When the hair looks orangey it's because of the lightning and coloring, nothing else. It's no deeper meaning then that. The wings can signify the fact Hina is dead and off probably in a better place or the fact Yukina, in Hiei's eyes is far too much like a pure angel for him to get close to. There's nothing that looks like Mukuro in there.
Actually if you see the lyrics in english you'll see the song is darker than what it sounds like. And the tone in his voice while singing isn't half as upbeat as it may seem either.
My theory is that it was first Hina who was sitting in the ice (because Hina is supposed to look exactly like Yukina) and it is Hiei's birth that killed her (because it is forbidden to give birth to a boy for ice maidens), thus the sword slash against the ice.
Then it turns into Yukina with Hiei at first trying to reach out but then decides not to because of his guilt.
After that, it turned into Mukuro with wings, indicating she is free because of Hiei.

The angel person is Hiei's mother Hina...seriously, it's pretty obvious. If you watch the episode with his memories, they look exactly alike. The reason the hair changes is symbolic. Her people were supposed to be cold and heartless like ice. But she was different, and she killed herself from the loss of her son. So when she dies, she is an angel. Thus, instead of like ice, she is warm like fire. Hair change...duh...
When she died, she believed she was the cause of her sons death. Thus when she was a spirit it kept her in a cold, depressed state instead of having her continue to the paradise in spirit world. So she is trapped by the ice. And Hiei comes to save her, so when she realizes he is alive then her life is fully complete. So she becomes a warm angel, instead of a cold trapped spirit. And she leaves Hiei because her journey is complete. And he understands, and leaves as well. Better explanation...

Mukruo and the memories of his mother are in the Three Kings Saga. It's the last episodes of Yu Yu Hakusho. Mukruo is one of the "kings" (cause you don't find out she's a girl until later) and Hiei works for her, and they become good friends.

Mine too! Kurama will always be my #1 favorite character in YYH! :) Although second place for my other favorite character in YYH is a tie between Kuwabara and Hiei cause I love them both!! :) I LOVE Hiei's voice and personality! He's like a cross between Vegeta and Android 17! XD LOL Only I think Hiei is actually a lot nicer than our Saiyan Prince b/c he'll admit when someone does something clever and not just brush it off with a "Humph!" like Vegeta. (ex. Kuwabara's fight w/Byakko in season 1).
Well, I know some people who don't like him either. I don't understand why though. He's a great character! He's funny, he has values and honor and he's got a cool sword! lol He also turns out to be a very friendly guy too and you don't see very many guys like that in real life sadly. But hey what can I say, I'm a sucker for the comic relief characters and the EXTREMELY HOT ones too! ^_^ I also believe Kuwabara is an extremely underrated character in YYH and that makes me sad honestly.

I absolutely love this opening theme song of Hiei, but I must call anyone who thinks Mukuro even appears in here an idiot. Unless mukuro suddenly grew longer hair and changed her hair to blue I can't quite see that happening. And the only reason her hair looks slightly orange in the end is because of the lighting effects. that, and it would take away from the symbolism of Hiei being unable to be with his only family.

It's an emotional downplay in the imaging, which symbolizes his character in that he's rather the type to watch his loved ones from afar instead of chasing after them.
Maybe this reflects the three important women to him; Hina, who gave him birth; his sister, who he loves dearly, and Mukuro, the woman who called him to her side and named her heir.
But then my other theory is that maybe the girl is just Mukuro. Hiei wanted to "rid her of her shackles," break her free from her past, right? The girl was surrounded by chains. He broke them, and she flew off, freed from them thanks to Hiei.
The girl has a definite resemblance to Yukina... so family is most likely. Possibly an older, dream!Yukina which doesn't quite conform to reality. I don't think it could possibly be Mukuro, though - wrong hair colour (I'm only manga-aware, so I could be wrong, but I think her hair was always brown/black), much too kickass to quietly wait for a savior. Similarly I think Hina would not have let Hiei, of all people, save her... possibly why she flew away?

Okay, my opinion: In the beginning, it's eithor Yukina or Hina. Yukina because of her being released from Toruganae's (Sp? It's been a while) cage. But she looks more mature, so it may be Hina. Then, at the zoom out, it's Mukuro being set free from her shackles.

Same thing with Kuwabara's video. Hiei's is all about the girls in his life, and Kuwabara's is all about himself. Yusuke and Kurama have just about everyone in their videos. Not sure why that is, but it bothers me too.

Let's point out the obvious, Yukina has red eyes & aqua hair. I think the video is about Hina & Mukuro. I know it's weird that they show her naked infront of her sons' eyes, but I think that has to do with Japanese culture on bathing for example. The mom or dad usually take bathes with their kid up to age 7 in most cases. I think both Mukuro & Hina are Hieis' loved ones who are imprisoned and he frees them :) Yukina also, but she was freed by Kuwabara & Yusuke.

Now that I watch it again I think I understand who the girl is supposed to be. I think it's supposed to be Hiei's mom, because she was metaphorically 'imprisoned' by her peers and unable to stop them from sacrificing her son. And then in the video when Hiei releases her, she escapes him, flying off in the distance as an angel. This could be a metaphor for the fact that when Hiei finally returned to the ice village, his mom had killed herself, so he never got to be with her.

I seriously doubt it's Mukuro.
I know it might have represented her before she poured acid over herself, but the face doesn't look anything the same, and when she was a child her hair was straight, not wavy. Plus, the orange hair may have just been the lighting. XD
Also, the ice cave that trapped the blue haired lady, doesn't that represent the Koorime?

I think the girls are Yukina and Mukuro... it wouldn't make sense to me if the first one was Hina, why would Hiei want to reach for her and not his sister? in all this openings they show the character's most important people in they're lives, why would they show Hina and not Yukina in Hiei's??

I don't believe it is Yukina and it is most like Biura or Hina (as referred in english) There are many signs that it's her and not Yukina. First, Yukina has crimson eyes like Hiei's, but this girls eyes are purplish. Second, Yukina does not have the "M" arch on her hair like this girl goes. Third, I believe the binding around the woman represents the taboo she had committed and how she was isolated from everyone.

I agree with Kikia411 except for the mannerisms part considering we only saw Hina crying out for Hiei to be returned to her therefore we do not know her mannerisms. But I do agree with both her(or him, forgive me) and Kitsoru. Mukoro is too scarred to be this women and doesn't have blue hair nor ice powers. As for why I think it's one of those two I cannot say. I don't know. XD

Considering Mukuro has nothing to do with ice, I'd say it's fairly obvious it's either Hina or Yukina. The art style is pretty different so I can't judge based on 'apparent age' but considering she leaves at the end it may be more likely to be Hina. The orange in the end is obviously the dusk light changing the colors and Mukuro is permanently scarred, where as this girl doesn't have a scratch on her, so it's def. not her.

I'd say it's a toss up I'm inclined to think it's Hina for a few reasons.
1) If you look at it from a symbolic view, Hiei had to go through all the pain of his Jagan eye and what not to recover Hina's precious gift and to find her.
2) It looks a little too old to be Yukina, and her mannerisms are more like Hina's.
3) Though Hiei never tells Yukina that they're siblings, they're always together. He had to accept his mother's death, which could explain the image of her flying away.

It can't be Mukuro, she has brown hair. Though that does leave the question as to who that blonde angel is a mystery. But I think that the blue haired girl is indeed Yukina. Hiei has red eyes yet in some clips of him his eyes appear to be brown, so this could be the case with Yukina.

The most likely that person could be is possibly Hina, in the fact that she's an angel. Angels are usually messangers of god, which would be that she is good hearted, yet among the dead. If anything else, that tells us why that's not Mukuro or Yukina. Although I am curious as to know why they put such a metaphor for his past(refering to the fact that, regardless of how much she loves him, she will never be with her son) and why her hair color changed at the last second.

I have this song, it's actually beautifully sad. This is Hiei's voice actor singing the song, in the lyrics I think he refers a lot to Yukina.
The name of the song is called Kuchibue Ga Kikoeru.
I always find it sad because Hiei couldn't reach Yukina (or Hina) and when she became Mukuro (I finally found out that it's actually her).
I'll admit, I never liked Mukuro, but she didn't deserve such a bad past... (Plus, Hiei's mine, I know it's stupid but that's just me)

That happened in the anime? Strange ... in the manga, Hina died immediately after giving birth to Hiei. I've haven't seen the anime adaption yet, so I don't know what Hina looks like, but it is said that the daughter of a ice maiden would look EXACTLY like their mother.
(Trivia Fact: this would mean that Yukina would be older that Hiei by a few minutes ... didn't realise until now)

You're right; Hiei and Mukuro do deserve better, but then again ... if they never had those experiences they might never have met each other and their situation might have ended up worse in the end. *sigh* Life sucks ... I truly do NOT believe Mukuro is in this at all. For one, it looks more like Yukina and Hina the entire way through, never once like Mukuro. When the hair looks orangey it's because of the lightning and coloring, nothing else. It's no deeper meaning then that. The wings can signify the fact Hina is dead and off probably in a better place or the fact Yukina, in Hiei's eyes is far too much like a pure angel for him to get close to. There's nothing that looks like Mukuro in there.

My theory is that it was first Hina who was sitting in the ice (because Hina is supposed to look exactly like Yukina) and it is Hiei's birth that killed her (because it is forbidden to give birth to a boy for ice maidens), thus the sword slash against the ice.
Then it turns into Yukina with Hiei at first trying to reach out but then decides not to because of his guilt.
After that, it turned into Mukuro with wings, indicating she is free because of Hiei.
Well, that's my theory.

The angel person is Hiei's mother Hina...seriously, it's pretty obvious. If you watch the episode with his memories, they look exactly alike. The reason the hair changes is symbolic. Her people were supposed to be cold and heartless like ice. But she was different, and she killed herself from the loss of her son. So when she dies, she is an angel. Thus, instead of like ice, she is warm like fire. Hair change...duh...

When she died, she believed she was the cause of her sons death. Thus when she was a spirit it kept her in a cold, depressed state instead of having her continue to the paradise in spirit world. So she is trapped by the ice. And Hiei comes to save her, so when she realizes he is alive then her life is fully complete. So she becomes a warm angel, instead of a cold trapped spirit. And she leaves Hiei because her journey is complete. And he understands, and leaves as well. Better explanation...

Mukruo and the memories of his mother are in the Three Kings Saga. It's the last episodes of Yu Yu Hakusho. Mukruo is one of the "kings" (cause you don't find out she's a girl until later) and Hiei works for her, and they become good friends.

Mine too! Kurama will always be my #1 favorite character in YYH! :) Although second place for my other favorite character in YYH is a tie between Kuwabara and Hiei cause I love them both!! :) I LOVE Hiei's voice and personality! He's like a cross between Vegeta and Android 17! XD LOL Only I think Hiei is actually a lot nicer than our Saiyan Prince b/c he'll admit when someone does something clever and not just brush it off with a "Humph!" like Vegeta. (ex. Kuwabara's fight w/Byakko in season 1).

Well, I know some people who don't like him either. I don't understand why though. He's a great character! He's funny, he has values and honor and he's got a cool sword! lol He also turns out to be a very friendly guy too and you don't see very many guys like that in real life sadly. Unless mukuro suddenly grew longer hair and changed her hair to blue I can't quite see that happening. And the only reason her hair looks slightly orange in the end is because of the lighting effects. that, and it would take away from the symbolism of Hiei being unable to be with his only family.

It's too simple thanks to many anime opening I've watched for most of my life!
The girl trapped in ice was Yukina, who means a great deal to Hiei and when he broke the ice, it was Mukuro who flew away who also means something to Hiei.
It's an emotional downplay in the imaging, which symbolizes his character in that he's rather the type to watch his loved ones from afar instead of chasing after them.

Umm, I have two, uh, theories?
Maybe this reflects the three important women to him; Hina, who gave him birth; his sister, who he loves dearly, and Mukuro, the woman who called him to her side and named her heir.
But then my other theory is that maybe the girl is just Mukuro. Hiei wanted to "rid her of her shackles," break her free from her past, right? The girl was surrounded by chains. He broke them, and she flew off, freed from them thanks to Hiei.
That's my guess. ^__^

The girl has a definite resemblance to Yukina... so family is most likely. Possibly an older, dream!Yukina which doesn't quite conform to reality. I don't think it could possibly be Mukuro, though - wrong hair colour (I'm only manga-aware, so I could be wrong, but I think her hair was always brown/black), much too kickass to quietly wait for a savior. Similarly I think Hina would not have let Hiei, of all people, save her... possibly why she flew away?

Okay, my opinion: In the beginning, it's eithor Yukina or Hina. Yukina because of her being released from Toruganae's (Sp? It's been a while) cage. But she looks more mature, so it may be Hina. Then, at the zoom out, it's Mukuro being set free from her shackles.
