@Allerian1 Thanks. I wonder why some sounds will loop and others (which I thought I'd transferred as "Loop On") don't. Probably didn't have the Loop switched on.
I'd love for the Machinedrum to have a way to tell a sample to loop (instead of having to do it with the C6)
With the first 24 the startpoint of the sample is exponential, this means you have a lot of control over the start point, but the futher you go in the sample the less control you have.
From 25-48 the startpoints are linair so 63 is the middle.
Also thanks for this video, you should do alot more about the UW :)
This is enthralling. So if I wanted to create ambient cloudy sounds, do you reckon I could do that too on this machine? So far I've mainly seen people doing beats on it, naturally.
AWESOME! :D .. if only i had a machinedrum.. being 17 it isnt exactly something that you can run out and buy. even while working it isnt very tangible
Thank you for explaining this! I was almost regretting buying the UW version until I saw this.

@JoelisRich There's so much you can do with the sample section. Try to use it as a delay.

@BSTGVN Correct, the MD doesn't time stretch.

This is a pretty sharp idea!
I've been sampling for a while and the machinedrum architecture is quite newfangled.
Much obliged for a great tip on ambient production.

your vids are great. ive had an sps ii uw and just havent been able to figure that stuff out. your vids are a big help.
do you know how to set up a stutter that you can dial up and down the reps but keeping it looked to the beat?
thanks in advance.
please...more vids!

You can definitely do ambient on the MD. The systhesis options reach across the boundaries between synths and drum machine.

@Allerian1 That's a great trick! Now that I've got the MD UW, I'm grateful for stuff like this.
Does it make a difference whether the sample is in ROM slot 25-48 or in one of the other ones?
hanumann 1 year ago
@hanumann, pretty sure I have always done this with slots 25-48. ymmv
