mac...the loud applause from the start of each song showed the crowd's appreciation, ...stunningly amazed and seemingly in a state of trance w/ most jaws dropped in full awe and gleaming pride of the great honor KaPinoyArnel has given his country and to the musicdom !!!
KabayanDon, are we always this dumbfounded?...LOL...maybe we should really get used to the fact that KaPinoyArnel has MADE it BIG-ger than life!!! then, on their next Phil. gig, we can have no more reservations and just go party like there's no tomorrow !!!
of course, i was there together w/ my friends we rocked from start to finish, we were at the vip section and i can say that 99.9% of the peeps in our section rocked w/ journey and arnel's amazing voice from start to fin...great show indeed...epic and historic!!!
Tsk, tsk, tsk, you should have thought of a better title for this, you wear a Filipino Flag on your chest while insulting an American Band with a Filipino Lead Vocal, tsk, tsk, tsk. Sad
don't be so sad...AP can very well redeem himself...he's still w/ the American band, right? then he must still be rocking...but the Filipinos as an audience just really need some good education on live music appreciation and SHOW it thru clapping, singing along, and screaming
hoy macdotanch, you weren't born yet i'm already a journey fan from the early 80's, it's you who really needs good education we filipinos can enjoy live music the way we want to and not the way you want it
become better over time, Honestly don't know what to think of this type of music. Could be the continuation of teeny boppa music or this is what happened to it.
Maybe not everyone was a fan... yet. A co-teacher of mine went to the concert with her balikbayan father who gifted her with tickets because it was her birthday. Neither of them was familiar with Journey... (she even thought Journey sang gospel music, for her father to want to watch it with her.) but because Arnel was so popular (as in hinahangaan) in the States, he insisted on watching the concert. As it turns out, my co-teacher was raving about the concert for many days after....
maliit na concert space sobrang laki...kunting audience di marami...di mo maiaalis ang inis at abala sa maling paghanga...sa maling paghanga...sa maling paghanga....hahahuhu
what's racial about soliciting the very nature of your SWEET story telling of how you rocked? well, it seems we have gotten too sensitive with how Pinoys are being treated here in YT. but wasn't our rockin as evidenced in the videos speak nicely of us? it displays our sincere admiration for Journey in our subdued manners, not rowdy & OA or distracting---that's WHO we are NATURALLY as a CULTURE. the vids will defend my title...MABUHAY TAYONG MGA PINOY!!!
We're there together with my husband, my brother & his wife, we're at the Gold Wing left side & the concert was fantastic, totally awesome! We had a lot of fun that night. Our hands got calloused from clapping & our legs ached from jumping. Everybody was having a good time. Manila rocked! How negative you present Filipino attitude to the world with your title! We've been fans of Journey since HS & our love for their music had been rekindled especially now w/ the incredible, Arnel Pineda.
...i just made it a lil catchy so peeps would watch an otherwise video of a sea of heads & backs with AP's blarin vocals, but he's there somewhere left to right to front and back, up-down---it's just that i wasn't coached on how to zoom in my cam
haay naku, you wrote " journey's songs were not a household commodity until now", didn't say SP was in PI. i meant i have loved journey songs since hs even our househelp people know them ok...left manila in 1989 only for good. widen your horizon my dear and pls. don't ever call my beloved country PI forsaken. i know that's why i left, but don't rub it in- only people who has nothing nice to say about PI and greedy politicians forsake it!
patience, patience, my dear fellowman...are we running out of it too? of course i know SP wasn't anywhere here in beautiful, breathtaking (die from pollution) PI ever. I meant he wasn't popular here until NOW. and i meant forsaken bec we are losing good people like you and AP abroad bec we are either-hard -to- please or just really plain hard-up...but there's no place for me like the PI---i'll never forsake it, that's why im no politician lol
of all the nationalities in the world filipinos is the most difficult to please..we don't just do standing ovation to anybody...unless that its really, really good..we just sit and clap and smile if we like the performance...on this video people are shouting and standing..so i guess you know that journey and arnel really rock manila and manila did rock...mabuhay journey and arnel....
I found your title insulting to the band, to our local talent and i think it gives a bad impression to the world who will read it.
Maybe i am dumb to understand but that's what it brings accross in my opinion. maybe you meant it in the positive way, then maybe next time make it sound more positive
wow amizang!!! Congratulations Journey im glad that youre band is still alive !!!!
