Very, very beautiful rendition of this piece. Well arranged, and very well played.
I really liked listening to it :) It's a very nice, original, calm interpretation. In fact, I listened to it a few times during the last days, it just sounds so beautiful. Great work :)
By the way, I posted my rendition of this music on Synthesizer here on youtube, too. You might want to listen to it, I would be very interested in your opinion :)
You were very complimentary about my organ version of this: I have to say I take my hat off to anyone who can play the guitar like this, having tried it myself and found it very hard. A guitarist friend also told me that, as a beginner at 50, I'll never be able to do more than strum... Have felt a bit demotivated since! L
Thank you Tor. I played it somewhat slower than the orchestral version because it is, after all, a march. I shouldn't fancy trying to march to it any quicker than this...my legs would drop off!!
Cheers Paul! My comments limits were exceeded so I listened to this twice. Good deal for me because you have made an absolutely great arrangement of this piece!! You have so many small, nice things in it! Congrats!! England: 12 points! (I think I read something like that above...). And on top of that: very well played too! And the C-string stayed in tune all the way! :-) Well done, my friend!
You are not only a good classic guitar player but also a talented arranger, aren't you? I even did not know the name of Marc Antoine Charpentier. A very nice piece. Thank you for letting me know a new wonderful piece for me.
Maybe we do have something in common. I was hoping to find a guitar arrangement of this as well. Looks like I found one. You did a great job ... except for using an alternate tuning. I hate having to change the tuning. Did you work this out from Wilfried's uke arrangement or did you find a piano score?
I found a piano arrangement and tinkered with it. It has to go into an alternate tuning, I think. Now done, I think it would sit nicer in D, rather than C. Typical isn't it!!
I will send you the music. Capo at second fret for us both then! E-mail address again please.
I love the arrangement and wonder if you've made it available for others to play? Thank you.

This is a very nice arrangement you made. Changing the tuning to get the deep bass adds so much to the piece. Cudos for that!

It is a lovely piece of music. One that you would feel ashamed of liking, from your parent's collection, as a teenager!
Mine was Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony.
Your synth version is marvellous.
