@RozleendaIsMyName That's semi-revealed in Dawn of Sorrow, the sequel, that he is indeed Alucard. Ever since I played AoS I wanted to know who he was (Having not played any other Castlevania at the time) and then DoS kinda reveals that.

@Uberdoctorwhofan1 You won't be able to go underwater until you have the Undine soul which you don't get until much later in the game. Keep on playing and you'll get there.

@Uberdoctorwhofan1 My apologies. I said the Undine soul. You actually need the Skula soul to swim down. Undine allows you to stand on top of the water.

@Li1190 Eh, I've never liked the "gothic" style of the GBA Castlevania games. I've always preferred anime style.

This is basically Soma's theme, the castle is indeed a creature of chaos, a good explaination as any why the castle looks different in each game

It's good that they make it different for each game because it wouldn't be any fun with the same castle each time.

Alcuard in SOTN explained it to Maria Renard that the castle is a "creature of chaos, it can have many incarnations", it's the first in-game explaination for it, in this case the differences between the Rondo of Blood Configuration and the SOTN Configuration as Maria found out that the castle wasn't as she remembered it.
