X68000 is a Japanese computer - not a PC, but a *custom* computer with a 68000 processor (like Amiga, but FASTER) *PLUS* special arcade-quality graphics & audio chips, making X68000 more powerful than Amiga, TurboGrafx or Genesis.
X68000 was powerful enough to handle many Sega, Capcom and other arcade games without major downgrades.
Does anybody know how to consistently drop bombs straight up and down during the final boss fight?

x68k is an abbreviation of x68000 or "ex sixty eight thousand"

Which is a reference to the Motorola M68000 Processor it used. IIRC, the Apple LISA, early macintoshes and amigas also used the M68000.
