@SpringsEternal100 Thank you. It is probably the best animals milk you can dring. It heals olcers(sp) in your stomach, and is great fro babies if they are not nursing....
Happy goats, tails a waggin... A long long long time ago I remember trying to milk a cow, couldn't quiet get the hang of it. I remember my brother getting kicked too.. So we ended up using the spinner to make cream and butter. Wow, talk about memories. The goats look a lot easier to milk and they seem to behave better.... Awesome life Misty, but tough at times I know... we are so spoiled in the city. I love going to my friends farm to hang out, we branded calves, neutered and inoculated..Cheers
@ohoh00007 Yes they are Happy Goats!!! What memorys!! I think goats are more manageble than cows..Smaller too..It is tough at times, but what life isn't? I have been very spoiled in my life, and believe God took me down to earth and made me see the light.....Cheers
@mmlrc6atgmailcom I hear ya Misty.... In all things, Give Thanks regardless, for everything is a gift from God, it all depends how we handle it, right?.... We all have eyes, but many cannot, or choose not to see the light, you know what I mean.... Life is tough alone, but with many hands the yoke is a lot lighter Eh!....Blessing to you, the kid's, MountainMan and may the Light shine brightly on ya'll.... I can see it reflecting from where you are in many ways..... Cheers.
@oaktreega LOL You are prob. right..But I have alot to get done beforw I am ready::Green House 1st...then barn...then hay then goats....That is farther than you think...:-)
I could just see me rolling down that hill being dragged by a goat, lol...whew girl, u work hard, God bless your heart!..so how do you process that milk? Do you strain it and boil it? ...Angie
@kokonutbaby1 LOL I thought the same thing. It is sure to happen yet...It is hard work!!! Manily on the back!!! Sorry I ment to show yall how I strain it, I use dissopisal strainers, if you look at the video again there is a part that shows the milk 1/2 full, and you can see what is on top that I pour the milk in. and there is a strained in it. Then I bring it homee and refridgerate it. It is not neccessary to pasturise it. Raw milk is better for you....Misty
@CHEECHAKOSMONTANA Yes she can I knew she could once she got the hang of it....It is alot of work!! My Back!!Other wise it is ok...It is growing on me....
@mhpgardener Yep I think I am getting the hang of it....Yes I think I am begining to 1/2 enjoy it. I think I want a couple now....No they are not camra shy...And can't make you flat footed..LOL...Thank you!!!!
Nice job. We had a herds of show goats we raised for years. We had so much milk we raised a beef calf and 2 pigs off it. Made great milk. Plus we sold the raw milk to many people who had babies who could only drink the goats milk. Not to be picky but, here comes the but, 1) you should wipe the teets down with an antibiotic before you milk them. 2) Also the first few squirts should be fed to a cat or other animal cause it is high in bactiera.
wow...those are some utters. I just started milking my goat too. This is her first baby so she isn't used to it. Her milk bag seems so tiny compared to those. (I'm happy to get a few oz out of her but we are still learning how to milk and getting her used to us still).....I'll do a milk video soon too.
@susannamcintyre I think you are going thru the same thing I went thru many years ago, but I had no idea what I was doing. This has gave me a whole new prespective. I am glad. She will get better each time. And the longer the baby is offf the more milk you will get...Thank you...
@Ziva4Freedom Hey Zive!!! Well It is like this, the cows milk I buy on the creek taste a little different than store bought milk does, so this is a little diffferent also, but I was suprised how well it did taste. You need it to be ice cold, as all milk. I am happy with it enough I am giving serious consideration on buying a couple milk goats. I never though I'd be saying that.I had one once before and it did not work out, but I didn't know what I was doing and she was a first time mother. Thanks
Thanks, 223 for sharing.

. We sent our milk samples monthly to the health department to be tested because it was being consumed by humans. So we know the drill.
