Again she sounds like she is whining. I guess that is what some people call "talented." Aside from the fact she looks like she is wearing a hefty bag, the only people that like the "good ole days" are middle aged has beens who are longing for their lost youth. It's got to be something in the water. What a hunk of talentless shit. Stevie Nicks should have stayed a waitress and spared us her "music." Give me a break.
@rexkramer846 Hahaha, you're middle aged. You don't have enough talent in your pinky toe nail next to this woman. Your basement is wall to wall posters of her. Lol!
Forgot how good this jam was and she looks great. I remember hearing about the Prince connection before and now that I hear it, it DOES sound similar to Little Red Corvette's synth line.
xmas 13 letters feeding frenzy 13 letters holy wars 8 letters holy shit 8 letters santa-a guy surrouned by bricks with people waiting for gifts below and everyone thinkin the sky is the limit above. who stole my merry twitter account this morning?
True story: Stevie was cruisin' SoCal, heard "Little Red Corvette" on the radio, & pulled over with a fragment of a melody stuck in her head. She called Prince & hummed/sang the melody. Prince showed up at the studio, & without saying a word, sat down & played the entire synth/keyboard riff, laying it down in 1 take. He then got up & "walked outta my life 4ever, like a dream", as Stevie tells it...Amazing.
@Tarantulisimo Prince actually played more instruments on this song, but they decided to only use that synth bass he did on the Jupiter-8 that dominates through the entire song. His appearance is uncredited - although he does get some type of co-writer status
This is one dope video. I used to try and mimic these dances everytime they came on. Yeah its gay by todays standards but back in the day you were somebody if you could dance like this.
it''s so funny reading the comments here, about how today's music "sucks" and this was "real music"...
I was a VJ in Phoenix in 1983 when this song first came out, and I CLEARLY remember then how people thought this song sucked and how people would make fun of her "little New Wave dancers" in the video and how terrible she sounded and real music was hard rock.
Just goes to show it's all subjective. It would be nice if people we're so judgemental, but hey, that's people.
i was 3 when this song came out . great talent but this song makes me feel old . i cant believe im almost 32 i mean what happend to the 80s 90s 2000s . i mean im more then half way to 60. i dont get it time keeps marching on.
@kevieization I remember taping this song on my cassette recorder in 83 when I was eleven years old to take it with me to a trip to our summer home when I lived in Panama. I had a Sony Walkman I use to play this song in my trips and I didn't even know English.

@5stringofFernandoSor Don't worry man, I'm 41 now and was 13 when this came out. It takes a bigger man to admit something like that!! Who gives a flipping crap what other think of you. We were not put on this earth to impress anyone but ourselves, well maybe one other and that would be our mate. Mine is a woman like my old world/old school train of thought!! I can hear the comments now about what I believe is right!! It's called morals in my book....bite me bitches!!!!!!! Bring back my MTV!!!!!
Hmmm.... people act as though this song is old. Am I the only one out of millions of people who scream with joy every time I hear the start and see Her Holyness belt it out again and again at every sermon. Some songs DON'T get old. They get BETTER! This IS the example :-)
wow , now this is music people, this brings back so many great memories for me in the summer of 83 when i was 10 years old, playing with my friends, ice cream man came at night, little league, getting nervous going into the fifth grade, just turned 38 man where the hell did these years go.also reminds me of all my loved ones we have lost over the years,
That come hither, over the shoulder look in the beginning is too damn sexy. Love the spinning also. That will be how I always remember Stevie, spinning through infinity.
the solo guitar part was done by the late David Williams - the same man responsible for another similar classic guitar riff on Michael Jackson's Billie Jean.
I can't understand why anyone wouldn't like her...She's" The Best " How do you think she's lasted this long? Plus she has clothes on...how about that!

@529wes Agreed. In this case, Steve Lukather (Toto) & Waddy Wachtel shared lead on this song. But I think it's the funky rhythm guitar that really stands out in this song. It was played by the late great David Williams who also played many of the songs on the "Thriller" album.

man, when i was in high school she seemed so OLD in this video, lol....and I never really noticed, but she's mostly only shot from the waist up. they did the same thing to ann wilson in those 80's videos. it's like, in those videos you had to be a size 6 or less, otherwise they were afraid your "fat ass" would scare the public. (edited cause i named the wrong wilson sister)
An epic masterpiece of the 80's marred by a horrible video. The dancers are pointless. the only thing saving this video is Stevie, herself, and her brilliant song.
Stevie Nicks is soooooooooo HOT.... GAGA doesn't even come close... GAGA would need a 100 life times to even come close to what Stevie Nicks belts out... as an artist
@getnervousedy c'mon there aren't anymore great singers, but don't limit greatness. Pat Benetar still has one of those kick ass voices with no comparison. Stevie Nicks is good but she's better with Fleetwood Mac.
Pat Benetar can make the case for best female rock singers.
@gregmmck I 100% agree with you about Pat Benetar she to me is the Queen of Rock-N-Roll with a voice like her's she stands alone as the Queen of Rock-N-Roll but Stevie Is the God-Mother of Rock-N-Rock. Now Stevie is Fleetwood Mac. !!!!
She is fine.

man, when i was in high school she seemed so OLD in this video, lol....and I never really noticed, but she's mostly only shot from the waist up. they did the same thing to ann wilson in those 80's videos. it's like, in those videos you had to be a size 6 or less, otherwise they were afraid your "fat ass" would scare the public. (edited cause i named the wrong wilson sister)

Classic 80s. This is when life was simple and dreams had real meaning.

I stumbled on this song looking for Britney Spears. Britney is the new Goddess of rock and roll.

Great Music of the 80s. Stevie Nicks today, yesterday; and forever.

Someone please respond to my comment.

An epic masterpiece of the 80's marred by a horrible video. The dancers are pointless. the only thing saving this video is Stevie, herself, and her brilliant song.

Now this is the only treadmill I would ever consider getting on...1:54.

We must stop comparing La Gaga to every popular female artist of the last 30 years. Please, get a grip.

She sounds like a goat. I'm glad i wasn't around in the 80's. What a load of shit.

@norgeviking90 I bet you look like one! If you don't 'like' the video, there's the option to 'didlike' it. Nobody wants to see your rudeass comment.

Stevie Nicks is soooooooooo HOT.... GAGA doesn't even come close... GAGA would need a 100 life times to even come close to what Stevie Nicks belts out... as an artist

I would have to just say that noone does this song better than Stevie Nicks. Not even that bimbo Lady Gaga.

The God-Mother of Rock-n-Roll and she stands alone
getnervousedy 10 months ago 52
@getnervousedy c'mon there aren't anymore great singers, but don't limit greatness. Pat Benetar still has one of those kick ass voices with no comparison. Stevie Nicks is good but she's better with Fleetwood Mac.
Pat Benetar can make the case for best female rock singers.
gregmmck 9 months ago
@gregmmck I 100% agree with you about Pat Benetar she to me is the Queen of Rock-N-Roll with a voice like her's she stands alone as the Queen of Rock-N-Roll but Stevie Is the God-Mother of Rock-N-Rock. Now Stevie is Fleetwood Mac. !!!!
