Career earnings of $2,578,568 - by the Sunday Silence sire, Special Week; tall, dark horse that could hammer the turns, you can really see the Sunday Silence in her.
Furthermore, was the only Jpn based horse to win a Gr.1 in the USA any more impressive in dominating American turf horses, than let's say the offspring of Danehill and Sadler's Wells doing the same? How about Intercontinental,Banks Hill,Islington,In the Wings,Barathea,Aussie Rules,Landseer,Champs Ellysses,Artiste Royal,Cacique,Light Jig,Danish,Dress to Thrill,Luas Line,Midday,Proviso,Price Tag,Conduit,High Chaparrel,Northern Spur,Ballingarry,Powerscourt,Beat Hollow and so many others??
Black pot and kettle, how about the jumping up and down for the three Jpn based horses who actually won Gr.1's in Europe, Agnes World(Danzig), El Condor Pasa(Kingmambo), Seeking the Pearl(Seeking the Gold). Oh yeah, what about Casino Drive too, must be the breeding bias. But as for this filly, she dominated American turf fillies(something that Euros have done forever now), but she was very impressive, to become the first Jpn based Gr.1 winner in the USA,&both Jpn horses will win BC races this yr
Wow I see good old Robert has come on here and hidden my comment about something that if you would only watch right on this video is clearly a fact! WOW what a "sore 20+ year Easy Goer fan" you are Robert,or is it Ruffchamp?
This was a clear message to the Major racing nations worldwide! Japanese TB's can run with anyones horse! This beautiful black daughter of Special Week(son of the great Sire Sunday Silence) looked like a running machine. Of course thats exactly what she was! BEAUTIFUL!
@BE109 Your right about how strong the Sunday Silence line is proving itself. If your interested in other horses in the Sunday Silence line check El Dorado, the winner of the Singapore Gold Cup(G1) in 08' and 09'. El Dorado is a Stay Gold (sire - SS) colt; Stay Gold won the Hong Kong Vase(G1) and Dubai Sheema Classic(G1) in 2001 (another SS colt - amazing similarity, Heart's Cry won in 2007) . Stay Gold also sired Nakayama Festa was nosed out by Workforce at the 2010 Arc de Triomphe.
And some ignorant types run around and say SS did nothing as a sire outside of Japan. I'm pure D Usa,but SS would have been successful anywhere in my opinion! This Gal showed her heels to this group!
I was at Hollywood that day and it was one of the best performances I ever saw.Cessario had excellent tactical speed, brilliant excelleration, and endurance. The sight of her sweeping around the far turn by herself, a huge black running machine, was something to behold. By 2005 I had become convinced that Japanese racing had reached parity with US and Euro racing, and bet the American Oaks accordingly. Thus, I celebrated with the many Japanese fans, journalists, and photographers who were there.
What an awesome horse Cesario is! She reminded me of the legendary Secretariat with her charge around the outside and runaway. Brilliant! Thanks for posting this race. Take care.

This filly was like a car.
You just put her in gear and off she went.
Visually one of the most impressive performances I've ever seen male or female.
A pity she got hurt but looking forward to her babies if some manage to get here.
Thank you for this video.

She took the turn very well too...did not drift out at all despite a full head of steam. Too bad she had to retired soon afterwards.
