  • A very grand cover on a great classic

  • it is a great song,, the real true love ways,,, thnx to the duo performer.

  • I STILL HAVE THIS SONG, ITS MY COLLECTIONS OF THE OLDIES AND I LOVE IT. WISH I COULD GO BACK TO 60'S. IM A FILPINO AND THIS SONG IS IMMORTAL.

  • Simply beautiful. Great song and a perfect rendition. RIP Gordon.

  • While I do like P&G they did not do this song very well compared to Bobby Vee and Buddy Holly.

  • What a great cover of the Buddy Holly tune !

    A nice Tribute !

  • fantastik duo

  • I know the true love ways... I like it very much...

  • Panda commercial...:P

  • Hi Georgie....Steve Fischler...

  • I saw these guys at a club in northern Michigan called the Ponytail back in the 60s and they were pretty amazing for back then. I also saw Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels there and a good unknown band called the City Limits.

  • though I,m60 years old now,I still love this song so very much.Mij first boyfriend sang this song for me.

    Thank you Harm!

  • So beautiful!! Usually I don't like remakes of the already perfect one that came out before, but this is just as beautiful as Buddy Holly's version.

  • @ProudKansan08 Yes, both versions are great. They are different enough that one doesn't need to try to rate them against each other. Both stand alone quite well.

  • @John1948Ten, I couldn't of said it any better!!! Thank you for that astute thought.

  • @John1948Ten - there was a Buddy Holly tribute on PBS the other night. A gentleman named Raul Malo sung this song and did a beautiful job of it.

  • @TCall2004 I heard about that special twice today. I wish I had watched it.

  • @John1948Ten - I'm sure it will be rerun. It's supposed to be shown a couple of times in December.

  • I was crazy about them and loved their music. Paul McCartney dated Peter's sister, Jane Asher, in the very early Beatle days.

  • @rjdippin - I saw a recent photo of Jane. She looks pretty good!

  • One of my favorite Buddy Holly songs. Peter & Gordon did a wonderful job.

  • I love this song soo much, it just such a great song.

  • I was in high school when this song came out. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area when you're a teenager is something else. I haven't lived there in year's, but I stayed near enough where I can go there for a few day's and go to some of my old haunt's. I'm pretty close to Gordan Waller's age and I'm hopeing I can hold on a bit longer than he did. I wonder if they would have done as well if Peter's sister Jane Asher hadn't been going with Paul McCartney.

  • R. True love also waits in many ways like we have over the last several months. Ours is the perfect love. I love you my hunny. J.

  • hooooo dios grasias por estos musicos y sus cansiones ♥

  • Waller died on July 17, 2009, at the age of 64.

  • @fogologo100 - Er, 64 isn't really old. Not in this day and age.

  • WONDERFUL DUO.....my old time favorite...!

  • A wonderul favourite!

  • Too Brilliant for Words

  • These guy's were great. One thing that really helped them was Peter's sister Jane Asher was going with Paul McCartney who wrote a couple of their songs. Ferry across the Mercy also brings back a whole bunch of memories. I didn't know that Gordon waller had passed away.

  • @Klaaaan1 I agree! This was some great music for a lot of us. I'm even a AC/DC fan along with a lot of other hard rock groups but I have another side to my musical heart.

  • love this song!! bring back old happy memories of the 60's,.

  • The guy with the glasses looks like Mike Myers.

  • @SuperKarend Nah, Mike Myers looks like him:)

  • Absolutely wonderful !!!!

  • Very beautiful rendition of my favorite Buddy Holly song.

  • hear the original recording

  • John1948Ten, Thanks for the extensive research on Peter & Gordon. I knew a lot about them & even saw them in Cleveland, OH in April 1966, but you have even stumped me with your comments. Good job!

  • @musicalrich1 Thanks Rich. As far as the comments go - I just look them up online and put them with the video. And I learn as I go.

  • Thank you for this great song and video with all the helpful information. Just incredible! *)*

  • This is my all-time favorite slow dance tune -- it was then, and it still is. These two guys were terrific!

  • Beautiful...rest in peace Gordon.

  • the best loved you and yourmusic.
