I don't know how successful motion sensitivity would be on a device where the motion sensing is taking place on the same platform as the screen. I mean, it's fine for the Wii since the screen is stationary, but trying to tilt the screen itself; doesn't it get hard to play while keeping an eye on the screen?
wow.. for a gaming device, the iPhone sucks at drawing frames of a simple 3D world. Perhaps it's the developers fault, but it kinda ruins the experience.
The iPhone is definitely not as powerful as a PSP or even DS, but its able to draw 3D worlds pretty well if the code scales enough. The problem is this port hasn't been optimized for the iPhone in terms of graphics or controls.
This feels like it was a rush job to get this game out before Christmas. It sucks, because the game is nearly unplayable in its current state. Hopefully it will change with an update, but for now, grab a better game, like Monkey Ball.
The way Jobs is talking about it, you would think so. He's pitting it as a gaming machine. That said, since I commented last, I got an iPhone and although I hate Apple, and all Apple products, this thing is pretty damn nifty. The games are more of a distraction, but I've seen a lot of really surprisingly good games out there.
Thanks for posting this. I'm a bit of a Katamari fan, but wanted to see it in action before buying it. Looks playable to me, despite some reviews to the contrary, posted on iTunes.
is this a port of Rolling With Katamari released on other mobile devices or is this a completely different game? ALSO...in Japan they had a mobile version on the panasonic p904i phone...is this THAT?
