i have a question because i have the same camcorder and when i upload a video to my laptop, using windows movie maker, the video comes out too small and when zoom in the video quality worsens. can you tell me what program you used to upload it or the setting that you have on your camera that you use to record you videos. i would greatly appreciate it. thank you!

When you upload the video there might me options on the uploading format (depending on your software). Choose DVD format and it should give you a better resolution..

SDcards are for still image. U need a MiniDV tape to record videos

I got it 3 days ago, and I am VERY happy with it! But I have one question how do you get the video footage into your computer?

You can upload the video to a computer from the camcorder using a Firewire connector. Its not provided with the camcorder, you have to buy it separately.. Check if your computer has a firewire port, if not then you'll need a firewire card too. Actually if you have the port then its just the cable that you need to buy. You can buy it online, check for Firewire cable. you can get it easily. I got it from amazon for $4!!!!

i also need a firewire cable, there are different kinds available, which one would i need to connect the zr850 to my computer?
