What great, great and funny shows we had in the 1960's...and the women were so beautiful in a truly elegant way. No coarse humor, but down to earth...I miss these times and the women too...
Wow I just read a few of the comments and realized that there are a lot of other teens than me that watch this show. lol and I Love Lucy too. Today there are hardly any teen shows that don't contain immoral elements. That's why I'm thankful for the innocent older ones like these!
It's hard to believe that throughout the whole Bewitched series Dick York suffered from severe back pain due to a serious spinal injury he got while working on the 1959 film "They Came to Cordura", which is why he left the show. That goes to show what a great actor he really was.
@BarmaidAz you realize that a season of bewitched costs about $40-50? They're showing it to us for free for about 2 minutes of commercials where on tv they show about 15 for shows like house or glee?
@ElizabethTucker901 It's just the times then. People cared about what they looked like when they went out to a restaurant..or even expecting a guest, she changed just for Louise. Nowadays flip-flops would be accepted going into a restaurant.. YUCK!
Has anyone wondered what happened to Larry and Lousie Tate's baby in this episode? No mention of this particular kid later on. Maybe the martinis were the issue.
Has anyone wondered what happened to Larry and Lousie Tate's baby in this episode? No mention of this particular kid. Maybe the martinis were the issue.
@phadrea76 LOL- luckily little Jonathan Tate turned out just fine despite the martinis. There isn't a "birth" episode for him, but he's mentioned in "A Very Special Delivery" and appears in "My Grandson, the Warlock, "Accidental Twins," and "Mixed Doubles."
This episode was filmed in black and white, the colorization was added a couple of years ago. The color of his eyes, or anyone others, is not accurate.
The stunt woman for Sam doesn't even look like her. Of course she's wearing the same clothes, but it's obvious it isn't Sam doing the stunts or diving.
I don't know if in those years they were aware that pregnant women are not supposed to drink alcohol, but if they didn't that would be sad. It is weird that that Larry's wife is the one insisting on the martini too.
no, they didn't know that then. The saying was the baby was protected from the mother's intake by the placenta. We know know that is not the case. Thank God she is only "acting" that she is pregnant and not really drinking
@marcelapaz8 It probably wasn't as well known, but at least it sort of was, since when Sam asks for a drink when Darrin thinks she's pregnant, he asks, "Do you really think you should?" Yet Louise insists on a martini herself...
One plays in the beginning and then several through out.. Right? Well.. A way to make it to were there is only TWO commercials and you can relax and watch it all the way through!
Just click the little red bar on the bottom to where it's almost at the end and let that commercial pass then just click back to the beginning!!!
Marcia Marcia Marcia ... funny Sam called her "little Endora" and later on in a Halloween episode Endora changes to a kid and it is Marcia again dressed as Endora (eye shadow and all)
I got an email that said this was a response to my post even though it doesn't show that way on here. In case you were asking me, the Halloween show I was referring to is the one online here on youtube. Season 2 - episode 43, Endora changes herself to a kid trick or treating at 8:51 (& stays that way for the rest of the show) and little actress is Maureen McCormick (AKA Marcia Brady)
Its too bad that there was alot of sexism in the 60s...I do like the show, ironicly a women back then could be curvy and sexy..now in our present day, curves are considerd fat by hollywood..people are so stupid!
I was surprised by the drinking as well. At first, I thought that Sam & Louise knew that the guys were already aware of the pregnancy, and were just testing them. However, apparently Fetal Alcohol Syndrome was not discovered until 1973, and was not widely accepted until years later.
Love love love this show; funny, sweet, innocent, and crazy at the same time; Gladys and Abner Kravitz were the predecessors to the Costanzas!!! I love when Gladys screams. She's hilarious.
Louise is so sweet and feminine. I love the scene where her hubby finally hears the news!

"Are you absolutely sure?!" It's so funny the way Mrs. Kravitz freaks out about pretty much everything that goes on at the Stephens' house.

I just noticed how...how blue Larry's eyes are. It was around 21:46. They were so blue, and his hair was white...they contrasted so much!
Anyways, love Darrin and Larry's reaction to Louise being pregnant!
