I took my date to this movie yesterday and she was freaking out throughout the whole movie, I thought the movie was crap and yeah the ending fucked it all up. everyone dies, a simple death and the movie is over, the reverend is burned by walking into a fire, the sound lady gets chopped up and the camera guy gets his head chopped off by caleb, and all this happens in under 3 minuets, then the movie is over just like that. @DaSpartan71 turns out nell, the possessed girl, got impregnated by a demon, and it starts taking her body over throughout the movie. reverend cotton marcus and his crew document the whole thing. at the end of the movie, the towns local reverend and his wife, who turn out to be some satanic weirdos, have some weird ritual going with a bonfire, nells dad is tied up, and blindfolded, nell gives birth to a baby demon and they throw it in the fire. then it spawns into this huge fucker called abalam.

If you're going to compare that film style to other "handheld" films do it with Quarantine or its original (Rec) or Cloverfield. Paranormal Activity was a suspense thriller as well but different style, they went with a 'fear what you can't see' angle. Blair Witch was the same. Neither should be used to be compared with this film since (from what I've heard) they actually do show something.
If this movie is truly worse than Paranormal activity, then it must be a steaming pile of shit, but I don't think it could be possible for it to be worse than Paranormal Activity

everyone dies, a simple death and the movie is over, the reverend is burned by walking into a fire, the sound lady gets chopped up and the camera guy gets his head chopped off by caleb, and all this happens in under 3 minuets, then the movie is over just like that. It was OKay, could have been better.

@DaSpartan71 turns out nell, the possessed girl, got impregnated by a demon, and it starts taking her body over throughout the movie. reverend cotton marcus and his crew document the whole thing. at the end of the movie, the towns local reverend and his wife, who turn out to be some satanic weirdos, have some weird ritual going with a bonfire, nells dad is tied up, and blindfolded, nell gives birth to a baby demon and they throw it in the fire. then it spawns into this huge fucker called abalam.

@DaSpartan71 and the last scene you see of rev. marcus, is him walking up to it with a cross in his hand. he more than likely got owned. then the camera crew starts running. the girl , gets jumped by a guy in a tux and gets hacked up by an axe. the camera guy books shit outta there, and then all it shows is nells brother in some weird outfit, and just slits the camera guys throat. then boom, camera falls, end of movie.

this doesn't make sense, you say you'll be disappointed by the ending, and you talk shit about it the whole time. But it gets an 85. BUT when a good movie comes along, you find one thing wrong with it, and have that bump it down to shit like a 60? I've never trusted your reviews, nor will I ever.

If you're going to compare that film style to other "handheld" films do it with Quarantine or its original (Rec) or Cloverfield. Paranormal Activity was a suspense thriller as well but different style, they went with a 'fear what you can't see' angle. Blair Witch was the same. Neither should be used to be compared with this film since (from what I've heard) they actually do show something.

The people from the town perform an abortion on the girl cuz she's pregnant with the devils baby & they pull it out & this super cheesy looking devil fetus w/ fins going down it's back, it just looked really stupid. Then they throw it in the fire & the fire explodes and then the reverend runs into the fire & the townspeople kill the filmmaker girl and the brother (Caleb) kills the cameraman and then that's the end. It was a pretty decent movie until the devil baby...

@InkStreak never said it was unwatchable; i said it couldn't live up to the originals because the ratings restrict it. i was judging the entertainment value (in this case horror) of the movie to clear up any misconceptions. In that aspect i would say the expendables would far outshine it but everyone has their own opinion. movies were originally made for entertainment correct?
