  • XESTHKE LEME!!!

  • Why do people run away after a lightning strike anyway? That's like trying to dodge a bullet.

  • Woah, that was awesome! Totally Liked it :D

  • i almost jizz my pants.

  • Nice capture, wtf with the 25 dislikes, its real. What you guys want? Lightning strike the cameraman to please you?

  • After the strike the camera fell it was as if the camera man died.

  • That was kinda funny. XD U were about to say something then the lightning bolt appeared and the camera went nuts. LOL

  • PICACHUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • damn get in side , buy a tripod , itll be alot safer lol ,

    that was a close one

  • And you just happened to be filming? .. Nice

  • Once there was an incredible thunderstorm at night and one bolt struck so fuckin close it almost hit our radio antenna... Scary...

  • @SmashCOBamberg Kinda takes all the scariness out once you say it on youtube

  • yyyyyyy... I can't see anything!...

  • A few years ago I couldn't sleep cuz of lightning, it was about 1 or 2 AM, and then I suddenly the house was like it was day for a sec, and at the same time I heard a loud BOOM, the next day I saw what happened to a house 20 feet from my house...

About 10% of the roof of that house was gone, well, nice vid! I wish I could record a lightning strike... :(

  • wow wtf o,o.. It hitted that other car?!

  • @IcePk2hu No it hit a nearby building, although it felt and sounded like it hit 15 feet away.

  • He droped the camera and ran to bathroom.... you know he shat himself!

  • Sheesh, what is it with lightning in this town? We had another one recently strike across the street and literally blow up a tree. It carved a slot about 3 inches wide and an inch deep from the very top all the way to the ground and scattered splinters all over the parking lot about 100 feet away, some were as long as 8 feet!

  • Adrenalin rush!!!!!!!!!!!

  • at the moment it starts to get to the ground you can here it moving and then here the boom right after. AWSOME! thumbs up!!!

  • holly shit. that was super close. u said it had volts attached to it. geese. that must be a like at 15 voltage or something. i just got my first lightning strike on my phone. it was at work to. like going on 820 pm

  • I was getting my paintball gun out of our car getting ready to play at icu when lightning strikes rite above us and the thunder was tremendous I dropped my co2 think if the lightning struk tht while I was holding it

  • That was less than 100 Feet away!!

  • That probably would have killed a person terrified of lightning, but not me! I'm too knowledeable about lightning to know it isnt certain death.

  • @awesomelightning I am too, but it still makes me shit my pants. :(

  • Lightning had once hit the building right in front of me, but I didn't catch it. It was the coolest moment of my life!

  • The same, I had a storm when I was in Hong Kong, went to the top of my apartment block after it woke me up. I'd been waiting for this chance! The door onto the roof faces towards the coast, so you could watch the storm come in and not be completely exposed (there have been stories of strikes coming through open doors but the odds are astronomical). I could watch buildings being hit repeatedly 3-400m away. Like me, I bet afterwards you thought "if only I'd brought my camera with me to record it"

  • Geesh. That's why i don't go outside video taping a thunderstorm

  • lol i was ouside last summer and i was just walking around my yard and this loud as fuck thunder came from nowhere. i didnt see lightning tho. then next time i went outside a fire truck came down my street =( )

  • wow, the flash and the thunder were simultaneous, thats close.

  • That was so close and so fast you can hardly see it, lol. I love watching footage of storms...the power of nature is fascinating.

  • wow, lol. dude, be more smart and stay indoors ina lightning storm x3 dont want chu to be hurt

  • wtf did it hit?!? Oh, that's too close. Glad you're okay. And at least you HAVE a basement. In my part of Tornado Alley, we don't. Count your blessings! 5/5 stars.

  • Thanks

It hit a building just down the street and arced all over the place, down the power lines, around the back of the buildings where I was facing, etc. How close it came to me personally I'm not quite sure, but it certainly felt DAMN CLOSE.

Look around the internet, there are various ways to make re-enforced rooms for improvised tornado shelters, or you could just dig one out yourself, they're not too difficult to make for what I understand.

  • Bet you felt the heat off'n that one. WOW. Couple years ago, was sitting under an awning at a local restaurant, trying to capture (and failing miserably) a lightning strike with my digital. A bolt hit a power box across the street. Talk about arcing and fireworks. Missed the bolt, got the smoke rising after. I definately felt the heat off it. LOL If I had caught it, would have been the pic of the year! Where I live: gov't apts. They won't let us build shelter, dangit. Tx for writing!

  • it disrupted your camera

    it rly WAS damn close

  • @joesmoe71 he can rent a back hoe from somewhere and dig a tornado shelter in no time.

  • @stormspinner1 ...your in tornado alley...and you dont have a basement....who was the idiot who made your house?

  • @MetalMonarchy -- government apartments. Very few places here in my part of The Alley have underground shelter (basements). HATE that.

  • @stormspinner1 at least some of them do. :) better than nothing...still...could probably use a few more :\

  • pause it at 0:06

  • You know, lightning can be useful, if u wanna get high, you'll be hopped up on your own adrenaline for a good 30 mins if a lightning bolt goes off close by.

  • i was taking a shower and lighting sruck and i was jolted with high voltage..... now i am able to see in the dark

  • ya im gifted with the ability to see in the dark more then a man usually would

  • lightning stuck right outside my window on my lawn and the next day there was a patch were all the grass was gone

  • we were on the top a mountain when there was a bad storm one time. lightning started a fire on the next ridge over. we ran the rest of the way down the trail

  • I had something simular happen on Mt Willard in NH, I was like 1/4 mile from the top when other hikers came running DOWN the trail past me because a storm was coming. Apparently wanting a Darwin award I went up the rest of the way away but fortunately the storm just missed.

I also have two uncles which had just reached the top of Mt Washinton when a REALLY bad thunderstorm hit, they were in the bunker watching lightning hit the cog rails maybe 30 feet from the windows, cool stuff!

  • I would have shat my pants lol

  • i went to Six Flags and a lightning bolt was just a mile away and i was sared half to death!!!!

  • Where did the Strike hit???

  • Two buildings over, although at the time it sounded and felt like it hit ten feet away.

  • i want a storm like this near my house.

  • trust me....no you dont

  • I would have been like EKTIOWSJYIASEJSEPj And ran Lmao

  • BWAHAHAHAHA!

  • lol, why would you run when the lightning doesn't even last a second, and it's over. Lightning usually doesn't strike twice, so take your time getting in. But it might be the fact that you're running to the bathroom after you shat your pants. :P

  • It's called *P*A*N*I*C*

  • I would have done the same thing but instead of running of fear I'd be running for some clean underwear.

  • thats on overlook st right? cus i remember that! it hit the house across the street from me when i lived there

  • Yep! Although most of the buildings in that area have those weird pipe clothe lines

  • I can see the lightning when you pause at the right time. Somewhere at 6 seconds.

If you see that white.... thing... there's 2 trees behind it right? Somewhere between those trees the lightning appears. It's tiny, but maybe you'll see it.

  • My neighbor said it arced all over the place, including down the power lines in front of the house.

  • Nice one! It sounded exactly like a close strike that happened near my house back in April.

  • thunder storms are nothing to fool with. if you get hit , and live you can be f{}_KED the rest of your life . with brain dam. nerve loss, stay out of them.

  • Of course this isn't fake.

  • that was pretty bright. 0:06

  • yes the E.M.P. affected the camera temporarily pay attention right next to the bolt that the camera got a crappy image and the sound blacks out for a moment....this is the definition of BALLS OF STEEL!

  • HOLEY SHIT!!!!!

that was sooooooo real but i wish you didnt freak out so we couldve seen it better.... good job though!!!! remember that it can make your camera all fizzy. AWESOME SHOT! FIVE STARS! (good risk)

  • AMAZING footage!!!! favorited 5 stars!!!!

  • BOOM HEADSHOT!

  • thats what FPS DOUG would say if he was there xD

  • im not sure is this real or a fak

  • Believe me, it's real, I practically broke my arms and legs taking it!

  • AHHH RUN FOREST RUUUNNN!!!!!

  • lol this reminds me i was covering up the grill cause it was about to rain and lightning struck near the house next door i started running and almost fell on my face it was so funny

  • My favorite part was when u ran, lmao. i'm sure i would to though, funny stuff =P

  • these videos are all the same thing - "HOLY SHIT!" and then they run for cover lol... very scary though definitely

  • True, but you have to experience a strike that close to really understand how scary it is. While in reality it hit the building next door, it was sooooo incredibly loud and the flash so bright that at that moment I thought it had literally struck only 10 feet from me!

  • woooooow...

  • Uhh.....run! LOL!

  • I'd've shit misel'

  • dont stand under a tree in a lightning storm

  • Yeah, and DON'T stand near a bunch of iron pipes sticking out of the ground, that's what those white things were to the right of the truck. I broke about a thousand 'don'ts' of lightning safety that day, and just about earned myself a Darwin award. Needless to say I don't shoot video out that door anymore, and I use a tripod.

  • lol

  • huh?

  • RUN AWAY!!! Oh man, that must have been a rush. I'd like to see the non-FLV version.

  • "RUN AWAY!!!"

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I should hunt down that Monty Python audio clip and dubbed it in there!

  • haha! yeah

  • Ahah! I found the clip, check my new video!

  • Glad to be providing humorous suggestions to ya. :)

  • My neighbor was watching the storm from the front of the building and actually saw the lightning travel down all the wires, wish I had caught THAT on video!

  • Lol that would have been awsome!

  • Um... that travels so fast he would NOT have seen it... so it is not awesome. Sorry to burst your bubbles dudes!

  • Buzzkill lol JK

  • It travels no faster than the lightning strike itself, and everyone can see that

  • yes, you can.

  • thanks for posting this kind of stuff it is a amzing what morther nature can do
