  • Loved the music, loved her cheek bones and eyes.......but she had one hell of a big nose on her. Thank goodness for the studios "lighting" I say.

  • Thanx for remembering this star. I especially like her in the screwball comedy MERRILY WE LIVE, with a great cast. As a boomer I can still appreciate fine movies of long ago. Timeless writing, acting and BEAUTY never leaves one's heart.

  • I especially love the photos of her as a flapper.Beautiful.

  • she reminds me of my grandmother. my grandmother wasn't this beautiful - but she had that same kind of old world decency and grace that constance had. it's unusual (even for back then)

  • She was a fascinating woman,so beautifull!!

  • Baz, you've done another five star job!

  • Joan's sister!

  • Does anyone know what the name of this track is, it is beautiful! Wonderful video with great images, such a pleasure to watch!

  • Thank you. The music is titled 'Che Sara' and is played by French pianist Richard Clayderman. Glad you enjoyed the tribute!

  • Great music, great pics, great woman! I love "Topper" and "What Price Hollywood".

  • Woooooo she's awesome!! My name is also Constance Bennett!! yay =]

  • Really! You're lucky=)

  • Constance Bennett, A Jewel of "Hollywood's Golden Age". Bennett had a special touch of class that shined so uniquely on screen, with her blonde hair, delicate features and glamorous fashion style Constance quickly became a popular film star, from 1924-1938. She also worked in radio and theater.

After 1940, Constance started businesses marketing women's wear and cosmetics.

    Fondly, Hedda

Oh Baz, what lovely photos and that sweet music!

  • Stunning beauty and class. America's first ethnic Super Star!

*tho they didn't know it then (He he)

  • What do you mean?

  • She is of mixed heritage via her maternal Grandfather from Jamaica. Something she never really tried to hide.

  • Brave girl! Very brave girl for the times!

  • Nonsense Morris W. Morris (né Lewis Morrison), Bennett's maternal grandfather, was of Spanish and English descent and was the white officer put in charge of the black militia in Jamaica.Because you are born somewhere it doesnot change your race.

  • You are sadly mistaken. Clearly, you are unfamiliar with Mr. Morris's background or the fact that his GGrandson, Mortan Downey (The Mouth) confirmed their Black family history. What part about "ALL Black Unit" do you not understand.

The Bennett family has NEVER tried to "White wash" their background.

  • Lovely...simply lovely.

  • Very nice tribute to Constance Bennett. All people remember of this prestation in Two Faced Woman with Greta Garbo.

    Thank you,

    See you soon,

    Deketelaere-Ciccione

  • Constance Bennett was so elegant and had such a unique class about her. I love her films and she is surely amongst my all time favorites and I've always loved that fact that she was such a fiery and outspoken woman. Nice tribute!

  • Constance has a constant stream of romantic images`

less known but equally glamorous* surely from the

mid twenties her face reflected off the silver

screen, and now it reflects again.

    Thankyou Baz for presenting her.
