Chicago is first and foremost a band *with horns*. Like Elton John is known for his trademark piano style, it's what they're known for. If they want to add horns that's their prerogative. In my view they shouldn't have recorded the song without horns in the first place. It's ridiculous that a whole generation of 80s fans of this band were not aware that they had a horn section at all because their ballads barely used the horns.
@WrestlingHeretic I said that because i heard lots of versions of this song, but this was the first time ever i heard horns in it.
That's why i was "surprised". I admit, also, i am not a big Chicago fan, i only love 3-4 songs, i think they are awesome, but others i heard wasn't that good, so, it's just my personal feeling regarding this specific song: i'd like it more in a rock-metal style rather than a soft-pop-jazzy. That's all :)
why they want to ruin this song with fucking horns?
bah

I know. And why does Elton ruin all those songs with that piano?

@WrestlingHeretic what do you mean?
i mean that this song needs a hardrock cover, not horns. i love horns, where they sound good. here, in this song, they are simply shit
so what about elton and his piano?
