you probably could have avoided a lot of work by just angling the shot so you can't see the mattress or the other person in the back, but this is an awesome shot! Well done!
@therondoshow Thanks, but I try not to frame my shots in a way that will be easiest in post...The overall point of this project was to test my skills and take them to another level. So I chose this specific shot because it would be challenging. And In my opinion from this angle, it looked better and more believable then if it were just straight on.
@JohnyBKilla Alright fair enough - but how about this: have the actor move just a few inches less into the building, so the arms are never shown anyway. You would still have to mask the mattress, but the arms would be taken care of.
@biggestwwefanlogan yes it is compatible with CS4. you are running a good amount of ram so you should be fine. If you working with HD footage 720p or 1080p, I would suggest a more powerful processor. But, I have seen people work with less than what you have. Sorry It took so long for me to respond.
@WingWeeMovies No, you have to buy the Adobe creative suit or the Production suit to get After Effects. Or you can buy it as a stand alone but I would suggest getting at least Premiere to go with it.
Very well done! I have seen so many ways of doing this (2 actually..) and yours is my favorite.. and free! There's also a harness and rope. but if the attachment to the harness is hard and you land on it it hurts like crap!
you could have saved yourself a lot of work by using a green or blue sheet behind the guy
