Sugar was released on Ryko and Creation, and his own records are released on Virgin and Ryko, all affiliated with majors. Fucked Up are on Matador, and release tons of material themselves. Plus, y'know, they actually sound like a punk band. : ) But we may just have to agree to disagree on this one.

It's not particularly funny (although irony is clearly intended), but I can't see how it can be read as racist. The irony was always there in the original - why would starving people, most of whom weren't Christian - know that it was Christmas - or give a toss? Western post-imperialism from another age. Great - if surprisingly striaghtforward - cover version.
