worst cell phone ever, do not buy it. Crappy life battery, it freezes whenever you try to text, the camera is crap (if you use the flash for filming, your batery literally goes from 3-bar to 0-bar within a few minutes), the touch pad is very bad as well which makes texting so much harder than on an iphone. Simply put, this phone looks ok but SUCKS!

It's a copy, because my BL-40 works great, battery works 12h with continuous movie watching, camera is flawless, the touch is good-reacting and it's easy to text... So, next time be more careful with buying telephones, because this LG you have is a copy.

I have this phone, it is so frustrating. You touch anywhere on the screen and it responds like 2 seconds later. Its not just mine either. My friends are having the same problems with their LG Bl 40. I strongly recomend that you do not even consider this phone.

I bought this phone and found myself satisfied. For the question if this phone is better than iPhone. Well this phone is definitely better when it comes to multimedia functions. When it comes to texting, iPhone kinda respond just a bit more faster than this. As of battery life, iPhone wins it. BL40 is a really nice phone, I think the only real problem that I'm having is the battery life, it won't last long when you are using the internet and camera, it only lasts I think 3-4 hours.

I disagree. The android Os is great when it comes to personalizing your phone, and it is even more htc sense. And (even if it laggs sometimes) the Hero is fast and smooth comparing to LGs and Samsung phones (i haven't tried this one but seeing this vid convinced me it would be the same).

my brother has the htc hero and i have the lg bl40 and obviously i'm gonna have to disagree with you and say the bl40 is better because i think the htc hero look chunky where as the bl40 is slick and classy. Although they're about equal when it comes to apps and the like, and i think a lot more people would have the bl40 to the htc (no offence, its just my opinion) btw what phone do you have?

I've had the HTC Hero for 5 months now. It's only my opinion (since I fell in love with it !!) but i'd say the Hero looks better and more solid (?) and i don't think it's big, i put it in my pant's pocket and i don't feel it. The BL40 looks very 'plastic' to me, but again, i never got it in my hands. I don't know about apps in LG phones but Android is great. I have to agree that the Hero's a bit laggy sometimes, but the update to Android 2.1 is coming and looks nice.
