@BLACKLACDTS no that is wrong ... you are thinking of the silverado SS witht he lq9 that is the only truck with those HP numbers ... my truck was rated at 315 .. and 06 models were rated at liek 305 becuase of the diffrent heads and basicly whole top end ... 07+ has 90 MM TB better intake manifold and ofcourse the 243 (ls6 heads) some of them are aluminum and some are steel but none of them had those HP nnumbers other than 6.0

I beat em in my ECSB 01 silverado w a tune and 4.56 gears and they still have 80hp nd that much more torque than me

@M3SRT hes right about there being an l33 aluminium 5.3 but it wasnt rated at 345 like you said. i believe the l33 mostly came in extended cabs and the 8th digit of the vin number (the engine code) is a B if it has the l33.

@BLACKLACDTS no man youre right. the L33 is all alluminum and has 325hp. they are very very very rare. my best friend has one in his exsb and its 15.0-15.10 stock. they are wicked wicked wicked. they were the test engines in the SSR. They are FAST. w a hypertech he pulled 14.63. no cai or exhaust. he runs 14 flat with all 3 now. if an LQ9 had those mods in say a swapped exsb itd be just as fast. that oughta tell you how bad the L33 is. And the LQ9 has a .25" longer strock than the 5.3.

Even with them running low 13s theres a 100+ hp diff between the 2. and thats WAAAYYYY more than a half sec diff in time for the same exact truck. Still dont add up. Theres a guy in shreveport LA that has a 06 ecsb w cam and headers tuned ofcoarse. and hes running 13.4 ALLLLL NIGHT. so for that single cab to be running like that w a higher base hp nd 1k lbs lighter..It still dont add up either..
