  • Saw them open up for Tom Petty at the end of the Damn the Torpedoes tour (summer 1980) they were AMAZING !! Saw Tommy Heath at a small gig in Chattanooga years later he said .." I never opened for Tom Petty..." must have been an awesome summer !

  • @KingKramerTV Saw them on the same tour in Indianapolis- and yes, they were awesome!!

  • Great performance Tommy.

  • Wow

  • Never heard anything but their big hit. This kind of reminds me of the Police

  • Loved this album, always thought this song should've been as big a hit as "Jenny"...Graham Parker, Elvis, Joe Jackson, etc...we were so spoiled!

  • splendid!

  • My favorite Tommy Tutone song! Thanks for posting this incredible video. These guys are very underrated. Loved them when they first came out and still love them to this day. I still play their record on a regular basis.

  • my grannie was Married to tommy tutone!

  • This is such an awesome song!!!!

  • Reminds me of "Watching The Detectives"

  • @HengistTheGreat Good call- I would not be suprised in the least if they ever admitted it. The middle part has that Andy Summers/Police guitar sound as well. New wave era, for sure.

  • @hk459 Tommy Tutone has a website and you can get it there...for free! -Daz in Oz

  • @hk459 Just google Tommy Tutone and you`ll find his website and the track is there to download when you click songs and then click the first album pic. -daz in oz

  • @hk459 I`s trying to give you the site directly but I think youtube was preventing me, thus the google option. - daz in oz

  • @dazmanlecation Thanks mate!

  • @hk459 That's great you've got the Tommy Tutone site. (I've 'reincarnated' myself from dazmanlecation lol). -daz in Oz

  • There other songs are not bad. I love when people say they are one hit. I go how many hits you have zero (0) ? lol.

  • nails really beats on that bass so great

  • It also pains me that they are a "One Hit Wonder" because their best music wasn't played on mainstream radio back in the day! The songs still linger in our collective memories and music collections, however!!!

  • Totally!!

  • I liked 867-5309, but not nearly as good as the other Tommy Tutone songs, this was my favorite. Unfortunately 867-5309 Jenny destroyed Tommy Tutone, like Gilligan's Island destroyed those actors. :-)

  • This was their first hit.

  • @skatepunk98 I thought Angel Say No was. Did this actually chart?

  • wow i cant believe you found these songs it was all on one album i cruised palos verdes with this cranked...tthanks

  • Yes...PV drive west.

  • I have loved this song since it came out, my brother bought the lp so I never had to, but now it's gone... It's funny how nobody remembers this one, it's so much better than 867-5309...

He did an acoustic solo version I saw on VH1 sometime ago....somebody please post that version, it rocked! so does this one! thanks for posting it!

  • This song played as a single briefly on my local rock station in Wyoming, and I never forgot. When the 22-track CD with both of the first two albums came out, I was one of the first to buy it and rave about it.

    Whaddaya say June?

  • I think this remarkable band was ruined by one monster hit, the first album was awesome.

  • Good call sir. We had this album at the radio station and I'd always play this song. It was my fav although "Angel Say No" was a close second.

    Awesome vid- thank you StRose!
