I have two articles and two videos on my scienceguyorg website on mousetrap cars including a PDF to download. I use screw eyes for bearings so you do not neet to drill holes and the steering can be adjusted.
I made 1 of these in school and it went about 60 ft. In the front wheels i used some good skateboard bearings that worked well. also for more power u can add rubber bands!
Dude I made one of those in school it went 60 feet across the gym and it was fast I waxed the Axel so there was little to no friction. They key to this Is make it as light as possible with out breaking !!! Good video tho !
Well, it really shouldn't make a difference at all, but having 4 wheels would increase weight and friction, if it does anything, so three wheels would be a bit better.
