That DeLorean model is just RIDICULOUS.

As a huge Back to the Future fan, this is great. Simply inspiring, for me to make my own animation.

How'd you get to modeling the DeLorean though? How long have you been using 3DS Max?

@Jettix777 as for the wires, they were just splines made renderablt to add thickness, and for the back i mainly just used primatives, box, cilinder and put them together. I also used the vray renderer and some good vray materials to make it look nice :)

@Jettix777 Even though the vid doesn't show it i have modeled all the gizmos as well (time circuits, flux capacitor etc...) for help with what these looked like i paused the part on the 1st dvd when doc shows marty how it works, i also looked at a few sites about how to build your own bttf delorean (lots of pics of components)

@Jettix777 Cheers, glad you liked it. i've been using max for about 7 to 8 years now, the model took me a while to make so you'll need pashents, what i did was split parts up to make the process easier. I started with the chasis then the doors the the interior then the part at the back and so on.

@Jettix777 If you take an overhead, side and front shot of the delorean, you can use that as a x,y and z reference map for modeling the cars shape. Also, props to the animator... I like this short clip!

@juanpiseba Hi thanks for the comment :), the program i used was 3D studio max, i also used a few plugins which were 'Mad Car' for the car physics, 'Ghost Trails' for the particle stuff and 'Fume FX' for the fire trail, hope this help :)

@Rune31 Thanks :), the only way the music is costom is that i cut alot from the begining so it would fit the animation, it's out of the bttf soundtrack i think it's called 'the letter' anyways thanks for the comment :)
