  • Amazing guitarmanship with imaginative arrangements.

Shows incredible virility and indefatigable fire that brings out new levels of technical and creative brilliance.

Doyle is fast, accurate, warm, has amazing technique, cheerful melodies and plenty of drive.

His clever use of dynamics, the warm tone show exceptional musical skill

A most fantastic guiter player and musician.

It just doesn't get any better than this.

  • can anyone send me this song by email???

please send me a message if you have it!!!

    Thanks

  • please please tell me where i can get a tab for the glory glory hallaleuah travis picking part, 3.38

  • Can't get over the TONE of that guitar. yes, he is a master at his craft, and i have no room to talk here, but this is full of clams. Not the best i have seen out of doyle.

  • He is not humble he is purely a showman. and austintatious

  • don't b stupid.

  • Mr. Doyle Dykes is an American Treasure. There is no musician quite like him. He is a humble GENIUS! If you have met the man, you would know why. He is an AWESOME human being. And a phenomenal talent! God bless you, Doyle Dykes!!!

  • Nice. Opening with God Save The Queen was cool. Americans are alright I suppose :D

  • Know to us Yanks as, "My Country, 'Tiss of Thee"

  • SALUTE ... you got my attention with this one ... hey thanks for caring enough to play something that really matters ... great ... I mean great ... thank you ... keep em coming ...

  • What does he play that doesn't matter? Everything he plays is amazing and relevant; whether it be religious or patriotic.

  • Mr. Nice Guy ... I am proud to be an American ... in no way do I discount any of his talents and music; he's a great musician, no doubt... and it's not about religion ... it's about that I enjoy a good patriotic tune ... and it DOES really matter ... where in the heck did you even come up with such absurdity ... and as I said (he) "got my attention" ... again SALUTE ...

  • What absurdity? I said that everything he played was relevant. For those uneducated, that means that it does, in fact, matter. I was agreeing for the most part, it just sounded like you were saying that all of his other songs, which are for the most part religious, didn't matter.

  • Chet was certainly a pro thumbstyle player, no question about it. "An Icon!" However, I believe that Doyle has surpassed Chet in the areas of delivery, style, and diversity. If you ever get an opportunity to watch him perform, you'll know what I mean. These little clips on YouTube don't begin to portray Doyle's real, up close and personal, talent.

  • I've known Doyle since he was a youngster. I have recorded with him in the studio. Let me assure you that he is, unquestionably, the most professional guitarist on planet earth today. Just unbelievable!

  • How would you compare Doyle Dykes to the great Chet Atkins when he was in his prime? I rate them very close...

  • With Doyle Dykes being a preacher it's nice to see him playing these patriotic songs

  • Not one of the greatest, THE GREATEST !!

  • He is one of the greatest....

  • Very nice!!!

  • Was this at Saddleback in Lake Forest? The room looks familiar..

  • Wow! Hot beans, man! Thanks for sharing this video. It makes me want to go play my guitar a bit... ;)

I bet the version he did when he was 16 is more my speed... I wish I had that one! :D
