  • what a joke i hate phil gordan andy blochs a good poker player though

  • Teams are no longer effective in some casinos because nobody is allowed to enter a game once the deck gets shuffled. I do know that's how it works in the Indian reso in San Diego. Team work relies on jumping into a game once the count gets really high. Those days in San Diego are long gone.

  • hey if any body wants the real stuff for sports betting check out big-sheets amazing free and well amazing big-sheets Las Vegas sports forecasters

  • just another con!

  • thiers an easy way to stop people from doing this, simply having an overhead booth style table, that covers other players cards allowing the dealer to view (so he can make sure no one switches cards/cheats and showing the winning hands at the end of the deal. the player sees only the dealers cards and thier cards.. sure some card players use teams but 80% are the casual card shark watching and counting cards. kind of a no brainer

  • The thing is even if you keep the count perfectly and master basic strategy, you will not win every hand. Counting just lets you know when you have an edge.

  • @ir3akh4v0c correct and that is good emough for me and just a bit of fun but remember we r well ahead of those other players whom r not counting and who play CSM. They are called Ploppies.

  • @femouckblochblack123

hey bro do you bet on sports if so check out this youtube video for big-sheets its new in vegas for sports forecasting but yeah check it out cool stuff

  • so if you have a 12 to 16 and the dealer has a 9 or 10 showing then do you draw using basic strategy and if the count is say a +5 or 6 then do u stand because there are more high value cards in the deck which would increase you're chances of busting Please help.

  • yeah the strategy changes based on the count. For 16 vs 10 you stand if the true count is 0 or more, the count needs to be higher to stand on 15 and even higher on 14 and so on down to 12. I can't remember the exact figures I'm afraid.

  • actually I went to the casino today and did some wonging and this guy was betting loads and the guy was on +14 on a running count and therefore about a +3 or 4 on a true and you know what only 2 faces came up out of 4 bloody cards and he lost the bloody lot so can u really still win at counting lark

    Regards

  • Just because you have a true +3 or +4 dosent mean you are going to win every hand. It just means that you have an edge and therefore after a few thousad hands of betting bigger on good counts you make money. You will still lose more than half of your hands. So just because you don't win a hand dosent mean it wasn't a good bet..

  • Also playing in england (and most places in europe I think) your edge is about halved because the dealer dosent' take a hole card. This means you can't double down or split as often against 10s and Aces as you would like to under normal rules because you won't find out until after your doubling and splitting if the dealer has a BJ. If he does get one he takes both your bets.

  • Hi

Can u help me please .

what do u think is the best system the hi lo or the KO .

You see the KO makes the 7 a +1 so I that makes the 7 a low card so is that more of an advantage to the player in the long run instead of the trad hi lo technique?

  • Ive heard of the KO but Ive not studied it. But just because it also gives 7 +1 dosen't mean you suddenly have more of an edge. Im guessing that with KO the count has to be higher than the hi-lo before you bet bigger.

The best system is the one that is proven to have an edge and you are able to master the easiest. I'm sure KO has an edge but it may be harder to learn. It may even be easier to learn. I don't know. But simply because you get higher counts with it dosen't mean its better.

  • KO is the most popular unbalanced counting system around now and it is also a level 1 count very similar to the hi lo except as I said it is unbalanced so the IRC starts at different places depending on the amount of decks used . The main thing with this system is that u do not have to convert to a true count which is cool

. I have back-counted 10 times so far in the casino and it works and I also played a few hands when the count was high and won 7 out of 10 hands . what count do u use?? bye

  • NICE what Casino's do you go to?

  • lots all over London are u based in London normally the grosvenor

  • NO im in USA

  • what system do u play and in the hi lo what is the optimum count to start betting bigger

  • Personally I play the Zen system. A lil more advanced compared to Hi-Lo and the Hi- Opt systems.

Now, it's been awhile since I have played with Hi-Lo si bare with me on the details. But, when figuring out the count number when you increase your bet, you have to take into consideration what is called bet ramping. Bet ramping is the range that you will bet within. Lets say your minimum bet is 5; this is 1 unit. Your unit spread is 1-8 units. When the count is +2, you bet 2 units. +3, 4 units,

  • Part 2:

+4, 8 units. Now, these numbers are strictly hypothetical. You need to figure out your bank roll you are willing to risk, and figure out a bet ramping system that works for your system and bank. And you DO NOT want to play strictly by your spread. If you always bet 8 units when the count is +4 or higher, the casino is going to notice the pattern, kick you out and black book you and you won't be playing in that area again

  • why is the zen more advanced and also do you know what is better out of the ten count or the JSTAT count as it is known or the KO or the hi lo.

    Could u help please??

By the way when count is +3 on a hi lo I always hit bloody 14 or 15 still. so I am not guaranteed 2 face cards or a BJ

  • In Zen there are more values to the cards instead of the normal -1,0,+1. In Zen, the card values are -2,-1,0,+1,+2. It has been proven that when a deck has less 4s,5s,and 6s, the player has a better advantage. Zen gives 4,5,6 a +2 count. Zen gives you a more precise count of the deck. Better for betting correlation and how to play each hand. Lil more math involved and you have to be able to get the count quickly even though you have bigger numbers. Takes practice.

  • One more thing . In a 6 deck game and the count is +1 say and there are 4 decks remaining what is the TC I mean a quarter or do u round up or down and what is the TC when the count is below in the minus area

Thanks again for you're responses they r most helpful

  • If your running count is +1 and there are 4 decks left, your TC would be 1/16 if you were using 1/4 deck conversion. What I mean is; 4 decks are made up of 16 quarters. So, divide your RC by how many 1/4 decks are left and you get 1/16... You really have no advantage in this situation. With 4 decks left, your RC would have to be 16 to get a +1 TC; 32 for a +2 TC.

  • I am sorry I don't understand I thought if u have a RC of +16 with 4 decks left you would have a TC of +4 and +8 for a RC of 32 because u divide the the RC with the number of decks left as in this case 4. Maybe I am confused. Thanks again

  • Ahh, you are using full deck conversion. In that case, your TC would be 1/4 if your RC was 1 with 4 decks left. The further you break the deck down, the more accurate your TC will be. Many people will use half deck or quarter deck conversions instead of full deck. Just depends on how comfy you are with the math. That book I mentioned covers this in detail.

  • so what is the best system do u reckon and what one do u use?

  • I use Zen. I like it because it has a better betting, playing and insurance correlation compared to Hi-Lo. Lil bit harder math, but that just takes practice. As for the "best" system... That's relative. Some will say Hi-Lo, others will say Hi-Opt II... It's like asking is a Mac or PC better? The best system is the one you feel comfy with, learn everything about it and can use correctly. THAT, is a great system to use. For me, it's Zen.

  • thanks for youre comments but just something else ,are u familar with the KO count ,if si I wanna ask u someting about it thanks

  • Yes I do know about the KO system. What's your question on it? And, if you don't mind, send me an actual message to my youtube account instead of replying to my comment on this video. That way, I don't have to worry about remaining character count. :)

  • @staypress: Why don't you ask the creator of the Zen Count, Arnold Snyder, on his blackjack message board at Blackjack Forum Online. Snyder has answered my questions throughout the years and is considered the number one authority in the world on the game of blackjack.

  • Part 2:

And about your problem. That's normal to be honest. Counting let's you know when you have an edge, but you are still going to get those shitty hands. But, that's not always bad news. Let's take your example: The TC is +3 and you get a 15. Shitty, because if you hit, you will bust. BUT, the dealers upcard is a 6, since there are more 10 cards, he probably has 16 total. Don't hit your 15 and let the dealer take the 10 card that you know is probably next since the count is +3.

  • i went to the casino tonight and the shoe game was £25 Min so I had to play on a £5 min cos of money shit you know but the table had a CSM so no counting and I had £10 and played cool BS and still lost. I assume I did the right thing when the dealer had a 4 and I had a soft 17 so I DD but the dealer did not bust so bye bye but I did get a BJ and 21 so not all bad. So u think I should do the ZEN instead of hi lo I mean is that the daddy of all cunts then cos opinions are so varied

  • Like you said, opinions vary. If you can do the extra math needed for Zen quickly, then the system is for you. You don't want to take off more than you can chew and Hi-Lo is still a great system. Whatever system though, you need to learn EVERYTHING about it. All the charts and a bet ramping system that matches your bank roll. Here's a great book for you to read; "Blackbelt in Blackjack" by Snyder, Cover Hi-Lo, KO, and Zen in detail. Let you figure out what works for you. Best book I ever read.

  • @LukePettit Never heard your interesting note about the hazards of doubling/splitting against 10's and aces in England. Who's doubling or splitting against an ace anyway, when the dealer's chance of busting there is only about 11%???

  • Well in basic strategy you double on 11 vs dealer 10 and split 8s and As vs dealer 10 or A.

Those situations don't come up THAT often but any time you don't / can't double or split when its favourable to do so effects your edge. It may only be a fraction of a % but when you count perfectly with good rules you only have about a 2% edge anyway so it does make a difference.

  • using the hi-lo system, what do you do with the -1 or 0 or +3 or whatever the run would be? plz respond

  • yes, but i dont get it!! what do you do with the count?

Eg. makes sense...if its just you and the dealer. But lets say theres 5 of you at the table and you're dealt last. By the time your bet is up and you're dealt, the true count could have changed drastically! So I dont get how it helps unless maybe you're dealt first...

  • one advantage for the player is on his possible doubledowns. It's better to dbl dwn on 10 or 11 when there are many 10's in deck. Similarly for splits- knowing a greater liklihood of what's next helps player to improve his hand, and to bust less often.

It doesn't mean his first 2 card will always be better than dealers first 2 cards.

  • if there are less low cards how does that favour you? dealer could easily get 20 or blackjack

  • i think its cuz u know when to hit or not

  • That is true, but if you and the dealer both have the same odds to get black job but you get paid 1.5X when you get BJ and dealer just gets even money, YOU have an advantage

  • Also, the dealer cannot double down and you can. When double down you always want to get the high numbers and face cards.,,,

  • Forget you know anything about BLACKJACK.!!

It's not a case of ignorance but of implicated silence..see the page: blackjackassus com

  • Card counting no longer works in the real world casino. It assumes random cards which is a fallacy read more about it

Check our site our for more information on non random cards and how casinos beat card counters hands down

    beatthecasino,com

  • its all bull shit u cant win every damn hand cause casinos make u get hands like 12s and 16s

  • lol. i can see you've never played Blackjack

  • you're right, but the odds are very high

  • 12 isnt actually that bad of a hand. Its about the same as 18.

  • Why this will not work anymore( from a real casino dealer):

we play 6 decks and we have a shuffle machine right beside, the cards are coming out from the machine, and played cards goes back to the machine for a big shuffle at anytime. we do not shuffle once and play the whole 6 decks anymore, cards are shuffled all the time, therefore counting cards wont work.

Stick to basic strategy and hope for a good winning streak, take your money and run is the only way to win.

  • Where do you deal? Yes, the CSM's are in some casinos out there, but the shoe games are stil very universal. The CSM was invented in 2000 by shuffle master to stop card counting for good, but it was unpopular and it's still not that popular among many casinos today.

  • @redpanda416 This is untrue. Casinos must follow certain guidelines for uniform blackjack rules. You are not a dealer, counting will always work (unless you get kicked out)

  • @ShadowWaker101 Actually, I am a dealer and we use shuffle machines for blackjack in our casino.Yes, casino has to follow the basic rules for blackjack, but in each state and each casino, they have different rules for details, these are called "house rules". as long as the house rule doesn't have conflicts with the basic rules(eg dealer has to hit on soft 17 which is what you can not change), they can change the way to shuffle, to cut or use machine instead.

  • @redpanda416 most casinos, including vegas, shuffle one 6-8 deck shoe at a time and continually switch them out once they hit the yellow card, and once you start a new shoe you start a new count. you dont keep the same count the whole time you are sitting at the table. also when you have more than one deck, you divide your count by the number of decks. so if the count was +2 and there were 4 decks the actual count would be +.5, you bet high when the actual count is +2 or higher.

  • @eatho88 yes i know card counting works on regular shuffle blackjack tables. but more and more casinos are using shuffle machines, cards go back to the machine after every few hands, and new cards coming out of the machine, which makes it impossible to count. yeah you can always find the casino still use the old ways,so card counting is still useful.

  • @redpanda416 dude r u dreamin or wat, the only reason casinos use multiple decks bcoz gamblers started avoiding casinos with automatic shufflers.

muliple decks create enough complexity to drive away amateur card counters as it is hard to count in multiple decks. But it is still doable.

  • @redpanda416 whr 6 decks r involved, I m yet to see an automatic shuffler.

I think the shoe is too big to b put in an automatic shuffler. I m not a dealer but a player and visit vegas often. the only cheatin place in vegas is bellagio they use automatic shuffler for one deck and those machines read magnetic ink on cards to produce optimal shuffle, avoid bellagio.

  • @redpanda416

Not all casino's use automatic shufflers. Most casinos have both options. I only play BJ at tables where the dealer hand shuffles and deals from a shoe. BTW I have yet to go to a casino where I did not find a table like that.

  • @redpanda416 the local hardrock casino in florida has both; all use 6 decks, the lower limmit 10-15$ a hand are continuous shuffle. upper limmit from 25$ 50$ 500$ and 1k$ are not, one shuffle till cut card is exposed, if your willing to spend alot of money id stay away from your casino :)

  • @Whitexfire Totally, the casinos here are all charity casinos control by gaming board, it really sucks.

  • @Whitexfire Do you live in Fl? I live in Miami. lets make some money $. i got this down pack.

  • What system does this guy use?

  • If you don't count, you can't crunch the numbers of the odds though...

  • alrighr enough with the counting, lets talk about that blonde chick now, she's pretty hott huh?

  • Team play is risky, if you get caught it is a crime in Las Vegas

  • its not a crime in vegas its just that they'll ban you from the casino

  • Personally I don't usually bother with counting. I base my decision on more what I have and what the dealer has. If the dealer has a low card you have a great chance. If you get a 17 or above stick and its highly likely you will win the hand. If you are a novice at blackjack try playing for free at supercasino and the dealers do give you some good tips on what to do. Also ofc its good fun. 10pm to 2am GMT (UK time) and its all live. I won more real money then lost!

  • That's what couting cards is; Playing your hand according to what the dealer has but taking it one step further by knowing the proportion of high cads to low cards. Let's say after a couple of hands in a 1 deck game there were more low cards than high cards:15 low, 8 high cards & 3 neutral. This would make a RC of -7, a TC of -14 (or a TE of-3.5) You have a stiff 13 against a dealer 4. Normally you would stand but, since you know that there are more low cards you would HIT in this instance

  • because you will probably not bust and can only hope the dealer does. More low cards is bad for the player; gives the dealer a better chance of just hitting from a hard 16 and getting one of the many low cards left that would not bust him and beat your 12-16 you just stood on. Need to learn how to count man, gut feeling and just playing basic strategy is gonna break you in the long run. I don't know much about online BJ, but if you take your play to a casino, they are gonna rob you.

  • why is the TC at -14

  • lol rc at +15 that happens almost never !!!!

  • yea that rarely happens, like in the movie the count is +16 or 17

that rarely ever happens, i've never seen it when i played

  • yeah same here. the highest count ive ever had at a table was plus 10 and that was once, it usually gets no higher than plus 7 or 8.

  • yes thats the highest ive ever seen was + 10 too but i mean a couple games after that the count dropped fast back to +2 so yea its hard to have a plus count for a long while

  • In a single deck game, yeah getting a count as high as that is pretty crazy. But in a shoe game (say 4-8 decks) this is not as uncommon as you may think. With shoe games you get 'slugs" or groups or low or high cards. It just happens that way. What you will see alot of times in a soe game is the count will steadily increase or decrease and stay around there for awhile. When you want to bet is when you have a high count, and the count starts going down. This means high cards are coming out more.

  • U must not play that often.....Ive seem it quite a few times. But I was sit back away from the table counting and then jump in when the count is good.

  • wat do u do wen u get the final valu aftr countin

  • you bet according to the count. If it's a high count, you increase your bets. If it's low, or flat, you bet the table minimum.

  • that blonde girl is pretty hot

  • Has anyone on here watched the full DVD and tried this in a real casino?

  • no, but i do count cards. you can learn how to do it easily online

  • I know how to count cards, I can do it in my sleep. I was just wondering if anyone tried the techniques from Bloch's video in a real casino.

  • if you want to learn about this watch the movie 21.

    Best movie ever !

  • agree

  • awesome dvd...

  • once the deck is shuffled does the count go back to 0?

  • the deck is never shuffled, the cards always go 2 de bottom of the deck. and no u dont start at 0 again u continue on

  • i have been in a casino where they shuffel the desk what do you do after the shuffel?

  • after shuffle the count drops to 0, so you have to start again, stay away from tables that shuffle before every new game! There's no use of cardcounting at these kind of tables.

  • Of course. You start over.

  • Count through 1 deck of cards, and if you do it right, your count will return to 0. count through another deck and once again, your count will return to 0. rinse and repeat.

this is exactly the same as 6 decks. After counting through every deck, your count will be back to 0, even if the decks have been shuffled.

This is because there is an equal amount of +1 and -1 cards. They will all eventually cancel out.

Good luck with your card games! and remember: practice makes perfect :)

  • realy awesome DVD...

    I recomend it

  • Some of you claim blackjack to be very easy. If it's so easy to win how come casino's bother with it, when they shouldn't be making a profit?

  • I have ranked the top 5 online casinos at my website. Go to my profile and try your MIT skills!!

  • The reason why you will have such a big profit is that if the dealer gets blackjack he can only take your money on any hands you get which aren't blackjack (either 20s or pairs of Aces). If YOU have blackjack and the dealer does not, you will get paid $150 each time.

This extreme example is the main reason why counters have an edge. Secondary to that is that with a high count, the player has more opportunities to double down or split pairs profitably. At very high counts insurance is good.

  • This guy went to MIT, and he does BlackJack vids for a living? Hmmm, ok....

  • not anymore, Poker and stock market

  • ya rightt get a life..

  • I would like to play blackjack at online casinos, but I want to start to play through sites that rewards my game like poker rakeback sites do...is there any site that is doing that? thanks in advance

  • Try bonusstreet, com ,it's the only site that rewards your game when you play at blackjack tables.

  • Thanks for the link, it's the site that I was looking for

  • F___U_____C______K O_____F______F

  • blackjack shocking!!

With the use of this strategy, the BlackJack Player gains an advantage over the casino that exceeds 7,43% (when the casino uses Automatic Card Shufflers).

    See the web page:

    blackjackassus

  • Thorpe discovered that as the deck wore thinner, the odds swayed in and out of the players/dealers advantage. High cards were beneficial to the player. And low cards were beneficial to the dealer Thorpe put a value on each face card as determined the value the card had to the game of blackjack. Thus, a system developed where low cards were given positive values, middle cards given none, and dimes were given a negative value. Thorpe's system now was able to beat 1 deck blackjack around 1%

  • Card counting is not a myth. It is a scientifically proven. In the 1940s, a mathmatician in the Army named Roger Baldwin developed a system that was able to compete with Blackjack 50;50 at 1 deck games. On simple little computers, Baldwin and his team developed what will be known to be as 'basic strategy'. He calculated all the probabilities of 2 cards vs the dealers face cards based on the 52 card deck. Edward Thorpe further sharpened this theory. continued.

  • Even with machines shuffling, there will still be vulnerability in the 'running count' and the thus the 'true count'. Card counting is extremely dangerous to casinos. They will kick you out. However don't use real ID. Don't drive off to your car. The casinos want to ID you so they can ban you from future blackjack tables.

  • its so gay..i learnt card counting a yr ago and now im 19 all the casinos uses machine to shuffle cards after every first or second round

  • Actually there are very few casino shuffling machines out there being used. If the shuffling machines were so popular then there would be more casinos that use them. It was invented in 2000 to be used against counters, but table game players and dealers didn't like it so there are very few casinos that use those awful machines. I heard that in Australia that only one of those districts is not countable, but it has mathematically favorable tournaments.

  • well im not gonna go to Australia to count cards...i live in Vancouver and as far as i know everywhere in my area all uses machine...and shuffling machines ARE popular that is why more casinos uses it now

  • true but the one I go to do seem to shuffle after every 2 hands on some tables and on others they dont I dont know why

  • Card counting is a myth!!!!! yes you can get a good idea when a blackjack will come out but you will not know who will get the blackjack, it can be the dealer!!!! and thier went your big bet, this is why hes making videos how to do it and not doing it himself. Money managment is what you need to learn to beat any casino game. even sucker bets are beatin

  • your not counting the blackjack. You are calculating the odds of high cards coming out. For example if your count is +6 the chances of face cards coming out is pretty high. Im a dealer and there are times just by looking at the table i can call a blackjack or a bust

  • "For example if your count is +6 the chances of face cards coming out is pretty high"

What does that mean, 'if your count is +6'?

  • YOu start from 0 when cards are shufled

    for every 2,3,4,5,6 cards that the whole table gets, u add +1 to ur count, 7,8,9 are +0 and 10, J, Q, K, A are -1
