This is Dels 1965 song,but these are not 60s haircuts or clothes styling.it isnt early 70s coz the sideburns have gone.only guessing now at late 70s or even as late as 80.The cut of Lesleys dress,Johnnys open neck shirt,which doesnt have a rounded lapel.Del did lots of nostalgia stuff afterthe 2nd ,slower take of Runaway.The psychiatrist he saw loaded him, up with whacky pills and killed him.Tragic.

in 65 & our clothes & hair didn't look like this.

I wonder how much rare and valuable old footage like this is lost. (or just waiting for someone to stumble across it)

Stored in basements, garages, warehouses, studio back rooms, DJ's and camermen's private libraries.

The mind boggles.

More and more of it is showing up here on YT so maybe we have a hope of seeing some great stuff.

In my humble opinion there were two parts to the 60's...the first when we had 'singers and musicians'...Del, Lesley, Johnny, Gene Pitney, Fleetwoods, Lettermen, Brook Benton, Dinah Washington, Temptations, Jerry Butler, etc...we held each other when we danced...and songs ended in about three minutes. The second was when America began accepting 'yellers and noisicians' who could not sing and who dressed like slobs...thank you for the awesome post!...Tunesmith
