1966 - they didnt have synthesized instruments in those days for starters... the guy is a pioneer, none of the music you hear now would exist if it wasnt for people like this. (or tv, radio ...)
said the retarded listener ... but wait ... you could be right, perhaps there's a young genius, let's say a young Stockhausen like soul who (with today's tools) create something as brilliant as Telemusik. Which was done long before the digital age of wiz-bang boxes etc.
THis is one of my favorite Stockhausen electronic pieces, and it seems to get short shrift, most of the emphasis falling instead on Kontakte, which it supersedes, and Hymnen, of which it is a precursor. Glad to find it here.
wow. a lot of these tones sound exactly like some synthesizers you'll hear in modern psytrance. particularly darkpsy. he was certainly ahead of his time.
from 2:01- 2:13, that's how my stomach sounds after eating taco bell. Oh how I can relate to this music. But seriously, this guy is so unique and ahead of schedule with his perspective on music. I see where Miles Davis got it from.
He is so organic for composition thast i just feel it inside like the space between each beat of a hoeart, or the flow of blood on mi neck...it's alive.
"Universal electronic equipment with which you can, in theory, do everything, is more likely to kill the spirit than inspire it." I like that quote. It sounds like some of my thoughts. This music ("song" I want to say) sounds like some of my thoughts as well.
So, this is music concrete rather than, how is that other thing called? Electronic point music? I cant get off my mind, that guy I read that swore that the only purpose of electronic music was to control timbre for total serialism, because it was the only thing that total serialism lacked, to cut the timbre ties between notes... And somewhere in Paris Xenakis struggles with parallel octaves, lawl, just kidding..
I am more than grateful for the many posts you've made of pioneering composers and their work. I had many of these great pieces on LP back in the 60s and with the passage of time and the vicissitudes of life I no longer have them. So it is a great joy to find your many posts and to be able to enjoy them once again! Thank you so much!
One of the very important creations that opened the new horizons of electronic music in the sixties. I love this masterpiece which is still vey fresh and surprising.
I think it's funny that after all the work and time you do put into sharing all this on YT someone would ask you to do more! Some are never satisfied. Thanks for all your efforts.
Me cuesta explicar que siento con esta música... es como si mi cerebro fuera una masilla maleable... y se estirara... realmente de culto.

The trouble with YouTube is it invites the jocks as well as the nerds into my basement listening room, and they won't shut up and JUST LISTEN!

There is a certain warmth to these early electronic pieces, they don't feel as cold and detached as I would have thought

Realmente, Stockhausen creó bases para la música futura. Genial.

I really appreciate the effort to put the music and information on YT, but could you please do it in better audio quality? (480p or higher perhaps?)
That would be really awesome :)
