@jacobhalo22 im by no means a expert, but i've practiced with a lot of turntables and a v7 and ns7 just to see what im spending my money on.

you could run a mixer, serato scratch live, some cheap turntables, all for the same price as the ns7. the ns7 would be a better buy just because of the quality, especially if you get a 3 year warranty.

but expect to get crap from real djs, because no big hitting club or legend djs use a ns7, and trust me, you'll get crap for it

@jacobhalo22 get the v7 and x5 mixer...u can use just one v7 and x5 mixer to mix and it'll cost under $1000. I got the v7 and x5 mixer and they're the shit!!! Better to get the v7 and mixer cause u can coose ur own mixer and u don't have to send the whole unit back if it's faulty. U can get a brand new v7 for $430 and the x5 mixer for $350. I paid $900 for them both shipped to Australia which is the best price i found.

I don't know about anyone else, but the NS7 has been my first "turntable" experience, and after having dj'ed on cd's and mp3 controllers... this is just so much easier and more rewarding! I'm not a scratch dj by any means, but I have been able to hold it down a little with the NS7's. Thanks for putting out an awesome product, Numark! Great vid, btw

The freezing you guys are talking about has to do with the computer your running it on. I had the same problem also where it would stutter, slow down or freeze up. Just make sure your running it on a powerful enough comp. I don't know about everyone else but I deleted every program on my comp. and use it strictly for my NS7. You don't need to be running your I.M. off of it at the same time people HA!

@bezAproductions - Other than your speakers/headphones of choice, and maybe the FX bar if you're into FX work, you don't need anything else. The audio interface is built into the NS7, and the software is included with the unit as well, so you're pretty much good to go.

ive just got a ns7 hooked it up to my dell laptop works fine the kits amazing haven't experienced any problems yet the only annoying thing is you some times have to re calibrate the kit but once you have done it once it only takes 5 mints apart from that this is one of the best bits of kit ive ever used truly amazing cant wait to hook it up to a macbook pro which comes next week ( also worth investing in an external hard-drive) :p

I learn something new everyday on it and Ive been djing for 2 weeks. For everyone that says you need an apple I put that theory to rest. I use an ACER laptop with a i3 processor no latency issues at all. However i only use it for djing with a 500 GBinternal harddrive that i keep my music on.

No, I taught myself and I learned a lot from listening to albums (most acts used to have DJ's who scratched on their songs).

Cash Money, Jazzy Jeff and Too Tuff were some of the DJ's that inspired me. I learned a lot by checking out their scratches! I would listen to a scratch on tape and then I'd try to copy it.

After that came the DMC and ITF video tapes. That took it to the next level for me!
