  • I listen to mono sometimes!

  • Very nice set up. Your name sounds familiar. I wonder if you were in the "mixing engineer's handbook" I can't find my copy now. But nice set up and thanks for the tricks. I hope to one day have a studio like yours.

  • @DeefexNYC Oh wow, I'm surprised at how good my memory was just now. You are the same Pensado from that book. I remember reading those interviews at the end of the book. they were very helpful and gave me some inside tricks straight from producers others than in magazines. And that was about 5 years ago, way before i was checking youtube for tutorials, tips and tricks on mixing and production. Thank you.

  • dude i want to be your apprentice!

  • Death of Monotune - by Dave Pensando

  • i like these videos before i watch them

  • II was just researching the Haas Effect before I came across these widening videos, so I guess I've already done my homework. I've learned so much from you already. I've been taking notes and even though I use Reason, I can do pretty much the same stuff with it's devices. Keep making videos and I'll keep watching!

  • Mono...is deaddd!...hahahaha, you're great man!

Super cool stuff, I always end up using these techniques, thanxxx!

Hey, we've got the same Sm ProAudio Monitor Control, sweet.

    Stereo-Hugs

    d.

  • we love you too ((no homo))... thanks dave you have a good hart for showing us these skills. Theres alot of producers who would not show us these skills, normaly they would charge us, so thank you so much for puting in your time to show us these things. God bless you

  • thanks dave! you have really clarified some things for me..yessss

  • Dave, I can't begin to properly convey how much I appreciate this program. Not only the information - which is priceless - but also your sense of humor is awesome. I've been a recording/mixing engineer for over 20 years, and you have reminded me of some critical techniques which, through my complacency, were somehow forgotten over the years. I learned a lot of this stuff in school, but you've presented it in a real world scenario, with fantastic examples, and I thank you for sharing your skills.

  • Hey guys! I didn't understand, where can i ask question to Mr.Dave, directly here? or in other forums?

  • .......What about the producer/engineers that make strictly Dance music? Arnt most club systems mono? ........Im really worried about what your saying about not worrying about mono. ......of course i trust Everything your saying.... But thats whats worrying me:) If you could get back to me on this id really appreciate it. Much respect, an thank you for sharing all this Vital information to the public.

  • @Judeastonez I agree that dave knows what hes doing but i cant agree that you shouldn't worry about mono compatibility. Remember that we still hear music from cell phones and certainly some tv manufactures still make mono tvs. Yes some clubs do output mono but that's a bit rare. also some radio stations (mostly the really cheap ones) will also broadcast in mono.

  • @cheapspace .....thx for the reply cheapspace. I understand the reason's, Thats why i posted in the first place(not to be rude:) Until recently Understanding that i had to keep checking my mix in mono (learned late), my music was complete crap on the club system. But now that i try and make it sound similar in Stereo & Mono while im making the track, Its actually doing what its supposed to when i get in the booth:) ..Wish this was more of a topic in all the video floating around youtube. sigh

  • Mr. Pensado it's with great honor that I say thank you. All of your, Into the Lairs and

your comments on gearslutz have been a great blessing and inspiration for me.

I understand you, I like your style and I feel your passion. Thank you all so much

for helping me and please don't stop. This type of information is priceless.

  • Great tutorial!!

  • The one thing I've been missing since I haven't had much time to be online recently is Pensado's Place! I have about 3-5 episodes to catch up on. However, I just wanted to say...the new camera and in turn, boost in video quality ups the ante for an already phenomenal show! Thank you guys for everything you share. You are appreciated.

  • Total respect, Mr. Pensado!

    Clever tips and teaching.

Chapeau bas ! (in French - [Hat down] )

    Thank you so much!

  • Dave, you're the BEST!!
