@JR61PMJ11TH My dad had a hobby-grade RC car made with primarily plastic, his hit a curb and practically split in two. Aluminum will stop that kind of thing from happening. And it is a better investment to purchase aluminum parts than to wait for something to break and then have to replace it. And far better than waiting for it to break again. Trust me, thirty years from now when the parts are hard to come by, those who upgraded to aluminum will be glad to have done so.

@saintyago It comes w/ the kit. Tamiya #58210. HPI makes one very similiar. Try ebay. I'm sure its less than $30
