they are all horrible well maybe the rugged last one might only if it's water protected but if it's not then it's worthless for me, I want to shoot video under water with my iphone about 6ft deep not too deep and willing to pay up to $80 for it and it has to be shock proof, dust proof, water proof at least 8ft deep, heat proof, snow proof, freeze proof, drop proof of coarse and be able to play music. I do have water proof headphones so it's no problem. Oh and not too bulky though. Still waiting

About throwing your iPhone against a wall, even with the Defender. This is not a smart idea. True, there will be no visible signs of damage, but, you're still getting a considerable about of shock vibration through the circuit boards. Remember that there are literally hundreds of soldered circuits throughout that board. With every drop the phone is subjected to, those connections get weaker, to the point of where you will see diminished quality on your phone. No case is 100% shockproof.

Actually apple bumpers do have a lot of casual protection. If you drop it at say about 3 feet on a non-rigid ground forsay...flat concrete unless it hits flat on the front or back it will be protected.

Great Video! Just wanted to let anyone know that is intrested in the Otterbox Defender case...it is expensive definately, that is why you have to shop around. Yes it is 50.00 retail but I bought mine NEW from amazon for $20.00 (with free shipping) and it was great! Just a tid bit of random info! :) and I agree with you about the bumper case Not even a case!

the apple bumper is actually pretty protective. I've dropped my iphone from 10ft with the bumper, and the iphone was totally fine, no scratch or cracks on the screen. I would actually prefer the apple bumper over the incase.

nice video, returned my defender coz i believe i had a defective piece, one of its grooves scratched the metal band on the phone badly. Anyway, what do you think of the Capsule Rebel (Switch Easy)? have you used it? it's between that and the Candyshell for me. Both are around the price, have a tough time deciding.

@vramkishore have not been able to get a Capsule Rebel. The one thing that turns me off about it versus the Candyshell is the spine, although stylish it can't lay flat.
