Just bought an rtr, also bought all the the carbon fibre parts to stiffen it up a bit, running the jammin force .12 stock and still running in but geez it's a sweet little donk, these trugglets feel like a real racer, that o.s. you run is off the hook mate I love it ;-)
i know this man, i am aware. i already had the motor from my HPI mt2. ran a half a gallon through it. after reading all the news about the motor in the crt.5 i said wtf im doing it. so for those with the same prob. use a clutch nut from an ntc3, it has to be from a 2 speed trans so the nut shaft is long enough. chop some threads from both the motor shaft and the front side of the nut(clutch bell distance from flywheel)and your golden.
OS engines have a well earned reputation for having engines that are easy to tune and hold their tune well...this has always been my experience with all my OS motors.

Glad you got it to work for you...have fun. The truggy is tough.

i got the tz-tx any ideas on how to do the flywheel and clutchbell?
cameronlian 4 years ago
No idea at all.
The manual tells you what shaft type to use...why would you put a rotary carb and an engine built, specially, for Traxxas vehicles in this truggy?
