What I do is too hard to describe over email, but the song is in 4/4 time so if you've learned any alternating thumb picking pattern that fits 4/4 time you could use that. I should probably add that what I do with this song is something that I just made up myself, so you can feel free to make something up too.

This song always makes me cry. You nailed. A nice light touch with the vocals and pickin'. Forgive me for pointing out one tiny thing - enunciation on "I drinks a bit" - sounds like "I drink spit". (But it did give me a good giggle!)

Thanks! yeah, I thought about doing just GL, but I knew that sooner or later I'd want to do something else. Maybe an instrumental or even an original. You never know. So I decided to make it clear early that while Gord is priority #1, others will also be represented here. And yes. It's my now very old D-35. It needs work, but I'm making due.
