There's something wrong with this video. You can't put the machine too high because i think you're gonna burn that paint. Also, you shouldn't put the compound direct on the hood, that's not the right way to distribute it good.
angling it allows for more control, BUT it also heats up more its how amateurs do it your not really supposed to do that but if you really know what your doing it is better control. if you dont your asking to burn the paint. and with red paint which is soft her should NOT be cranking the rpms that high. after first pass he should have switched to foam pad...i did this for 15 years he needs to watch the oficial videos rather that burn his paint
i was wondering why he's angling his pad. then someone explained to me that back in the day wool pads had a huge screw on the bottom that bolt to the rotary. so if held flat a huge gash will result...
