i'm 17 and my dad has had two volvo's in the past 4 years, volvo s80 2007 and v70 2011. i have driven both, over 6000km total, 2000 and 4000 respectively. And now when i can buy myself a car i'm afraid to buy anything else but a volvo....

If you have ever opened a volvo door and umm.. a toyota car door, volvo's door feels really heavy and safe but toyota's door feels like it's made from cardboard...

Perhaps by Volvo, who sponsers this and the vehicles are probably considered written off the bottom line at the end of the year. It's one thing to crash a car to study the mechanics of incurred damage, but if they're whacking this to make it looked damaged for some display this is pretty senseless. Had they done this on rough asphalt typical of most roads, the damage would have been many times more severe. He's hitting bodywork with the solid counterweight of that lift, should go through like a sardine can but most of the energy goes to the car sliding.

They usually have an experimental or prototype VIN that means the driving public could never legally drive it anyway. I couldn't see either, with the rain blowing in my face, so I'd have to ride real slow with my head down. Not very practical for getting groceries either. Balancing a couple gallons of milk and some other stuff on the handlebars is quite a challenge too! I have a car now though - A 1984 Ford Tempo.
