  • @herpy1 You don't need gravity to change direction in space. Tbf though Freelancer doesn't prescribe to any sense of reality anyway.

    But mass doesn't change in space, so inertia stays more or less the same everywhere. thats why ships curve

  • Well, nukes should have highter explousion range, however they should cost alot.

    With all those mods featuring flyable cap-ships, not implementing these in a mod is a REALLY BAD idea I think. About the weapon I think it can also be thrown into the game for fun. Overpowered? Then make it less powerful. Cruisers/Destroyers with VLM's could be a kind of long range artillery units. And if you would give them a cloaking device, the result would be a stealth unit like... a space submarine :)

  • Well... nukes would be overkill. Unless mod maker adds anti-nukers, for example ships carrying sub-systems that would take down incoming nukes. But this would make ridicolous things like, players won't leave a base without an anti-nuker in a formation. And allowing all ships to carry anti-nuke device would be pointless.

    And by the way, the only thing that is keeping me from playing that mod is no cap-ships. With so many mods that came up freelancer is no more a good game without caps.

  • fl modding is restricted, missile to missile attacks are impossible without the pilot actually targetting the incoming missile first

    i know, im a FL modder myself and it is very restricted

  • @Wolfie276 actualy ther is a theory if you change the contermesure projectile into a misile that will go for the misile ( talking about the auto-drop contermesure) never tried it do

  • @ThinBear4 You know how to handle cloaking devices ? I researched the game to it's deepest bottoms and still don't know how to activate/deactivate one.

  • @TheKaos90 No. Some mods implement cloaking feature though (probably via FLHook), so it's possible.

  • i'm helping a friend with a capital ship mod. what i'm stuck on is getting the missile to fire veritcaly like you did in this vid. any tips?
