I have a 01 mustang gt with simple mods done to it and I'm getting this exact exhaust for xmas. (well maybe not exactly). slp lt headers, slp h pipe, and slp lm1. Don't ask me where I got the h pipe because my mustang parts dealer works for slp and is getting me all of this so I believe the h pipe is custom.

@mustang4sho I agree and disagree with you. 96-98 mustang GT's weren't the best. They were rated slowest mustangs ever mass produced simply because it was .4 liters behind the 5.0 and it carried about 20-30 less hp than the foxbody of 93. No matter what though, you put a tone on it and it sounds like God. I have an uncle with a 98 svt cobra and he bored and stroked it with forged internals and made over 1000+ rwhp with all the mods he did to it.

96-98 gt's are the best, if you've owned one or own one, you know their bark is alot worse then their bite lol. They sound like a pissed of lion, perform like a fat beach whale lol. I loved all four of mine ofr this exact reason ppl here this shit and they dont even want to race.

@sabrina395 if you have a line lock kit yes. in this the rear brakes are being applied as well its just the power your adding is still forcing the wheels to spin. that what i was talking about when i said its not always the best thing to do excessively

sabrina! good choice. now i'll help you out with a little mistake i made when i purchased mine, unless your really hot for this body style go buy a 99+ GT. the heads are better and you'll have about an extra 50 hp over my stock model plus it just seems like people make alooooot more products for those years.

the burnout i did is called a power brake burnout and no you don't need line lock. power braking is not the best for your car but its super cool cause you can get those

That sounds badass Man i have a '96 GT as well and I have this exact Cat back, but I have a catted UPR X pipe. How much HP you running if I may ask. What other bolt ons you got. I have a professional product 70mm Throttle body and plenum, BBK cold air intake, stack intake spacer, and Steeda Underdrive pullyies.

I live, breath, eat and sleep mustangs so coming from a true blue veined fan.......SLP is the shittiest sounding exhaust you can buy....that is unless you wanna sound like a crapmero or fireterd or a straight piped truck.......for a car that has the best exhaust note around SLP does a good job of fucking that up but havin said that ..like the car just not the sound. although im sure it sounds a lot worse in person lol

not really scared. i'd admit defeat to a 6.0 GTO i've beaten my fair share of guys who hop in a 5.7 and don't know how to drive worth a damn though :] being that i haven't really tapped any of the engines potential and i'm still running the non PI heads its not the hottest stang on the block, but i have some bolt ons and a tune. but thats to change. for now though the things damn loud and i love the sound.
