Oh~they were NOT in CHINA ..... They were in TAIWAN! And the reporter was talking in Taiwanese , not Japenese! She's meaning that TH finally came to Taiwan for their new album ,and introduced TH as a popular band from Germany. Then she just translated the questions into Chinese because the host asked TH questions in English that day.

and plus, i would never mistake taiwan for china. they are two different countries altogether.

中 文= chinese

so, the reporter was speaking in 中 文, not 台 語.
