@VisualPrefection some people use this keyboard for gaming... you can use it for whatever you want. there aren't any macro buttons or media controls, but it's a great all-round keyboard.
@wwwgeekdotcom Yeah I can imagine a keyboard like this can be great for gaming but i just prefer the nice styles, led lights, macro keys, and the all around glamour and style they give to gaming keyboards but thats just me.
@MadCrokodile1 the topre uses the combination of a spring and a rubber dome. the actuation is not mechanical, but has a great, crisp feeling to it. it doesn't really snap the way a cherry blue does
saying this is the same as a rubber dome is like saying a camry is the same as a ferrari
Nice video but i still find realforce products very expensive. What do u guys think ? Is it worth spending all those extra money for this keyboard or just stick to the buckling springs of the Customizer?? (overall build-quality etc.)
@andrewgrp36OveR it's an amazing keyboard, but the price is hard to justify. fwiw the used to cost a good deal less in the US (under 300). i'd highly recommend trying before you buy if you can. that said, resale values are through the roof so you can demo it and resell, without losing much money if you keep it clean
@sam113101 The realforce. I didn't want to love it, but I do. But man, I was a BIG fan of cherry browns before switching over... I still like them, but the topre switches are just a step up in quality IMO.
@wwwgeekdotcom Are Topre keyboards really worth the money? How much better are they than Cherry switches for gaming and typing? I want Realforce 87u tenkeyless keyboard but they cost $345. I could just get Leopold tenkeyless Cherry MX Brown for only $109.
@YoukipsD depends on personal preference, but you get a lot more bang for the buck out of cherry browns than you do topres. I love my filco 104 (less than my realforce, but not $250 less)
@TKSTALKER the technology in the board far surpasses that of your mass produced low-brow rubber dome; yes the flimsy plastic mainstream rubbish you're currently using.
Topre Realforce, ALPS, Cherry MX or Buckling Springs?

@VisualPrefection Gaming keyboards are mostly a gimmick. A proper mechanical keyboard is preferred by most gamers.

is topre basically same as rubber dome (but a lot better), i mean the actuation? so it just snaps down when you press a key?
