He's good, but seems to not have actually written a GMAT. If spend the time to do long division on the math problems, you will run out of time. Basically you need to do all the the test prep and sample test, so that you are familiar with the majority of problem type, and develop shortcut ways of solving the problems. Sometimes, it's best guess. Time is the enemy. They will not throw trick questions at you. The questions will be similar to test prep problems.
@Nomoreidsleft The founder of the organization, Salman Khan (giving this lecture), was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. After earning three degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (a BS in mathematics, a BS in electrical engineering and computer science, and an MS in electrical engineering and computer science) he pursued an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Guess he did a lot more than just taking the GMAT.
@flyhighhhhh Sorry, but Salman is no doubt a genius. I wonder, if he had to write a GMAT to get into Harvard Business School, given all his other qualifications. I was just speaking from a pov of someone who's not a genius, and had to write the GMAT to get into business school. Unfortunately, I only have a Comp. Sci. degree from a run of the mill university, and an MBA.
@Nomoreidsleft I actually get your point, time is of the essence for the GMAT test but he was, unlike other teachers out there, who normally address the top 40% in the class and do not really care if the rest understand or not, addressing everyone ranging from the top to the one's in the back row. Ps- Why are you playing small with your qualifications. Your qualifications are impressive! I believe we all have a genius within us and we shouldn't be ashamed of it.
This comes from the GMAT Official Guide... and these questions are from the start, or easiest questions in the guide. The problems get tougher as you go.
sorry visbygp but you are wrong, 1 CASE contains c cartons, 1 carton contains b boxes, 1 box contains 100 paperclips, how many paperclips are in 2 CASES not 2 cartons is 200bc paperclips

Seriously, this cannot be all that one needs to know for such a test like the GMAT. This is a freaking joke.

If you can't get every one of these questions right, you shouldn't have a bachelor's degree.

Your Math courses have helped me with the work I used to do. I went back to Paramedic work a year after my gall bladder surgery was performed.
When I restudied I.V. Therapy, our Instructor was astounded.
He asked me why I suddenly understand I.V. Therapy, which is all math calculation, so well.
I told him why then said, "I wasn't THAT bad before."
He knew I was joking. 8DD
