But It's Still her biggest hit 5 Weeks At Number One. No Other Single By Her Managed That. Her Last Number One Single Only Spent One Week. Patti gave the other girls their five seconds(respect) at the beginning of the songs. Let her sing them the way she wants. People always think because you cover a song, the original version is the only way a song should be interpreted. People sample songs, and remake songs all the time because they are giving you the song from their POV. Deal with it.

When Aretha sings Oh Me Oh My, it's romantic. Not feeling at all romantic when I hear Patti sing it. Just another reason why Aretha's storytelling skills are much better than Patti's screeching and crazy arm movements on stage.
